> 3 dayI bought this oil because it has the widest array of lubricating uses as far as I can tell. It is designed for electric motors, but since it is just oil with very few additives, it can be used for pretty much use. I use this to oil my regular door hinges, garage door hinges, and tools. A lot of people prefer white lithium grease for hinges, but I find that it makes a pretty big mess unless you disassemble each hinge. Note: When you snip the top of the spout open, snip as little as possible to leave as small of a hole as possible. I read this in another review, and I am glad I did. The oil comes out plenty fast enough even with a tiny hole.

> 3 dayI have recently gotten in to rescuing old fans. I prefer the old fans with metal blades and barely present guards; I call them finger-remover fans. They will last dang near forever with proper maintenance. This oil is perfect for the bronze sleeves in the motors. It is not too heavy so it gets into all of the nooks and crannys, but yet is not too thin so it doesnt run off or get depleted as quickly. This oil lubricates very well and adds a good layer of lasting protection to the shaft and bushings. I will be buying more of this as needed for my antique fans.

> 3 dayWorks great for fans. As was mentioned before in an earlier review cut the tip off as close to the end as possible or else it will be too large to fit inside the oil hole.

Greater than one weekI used this product to oil my window fan, unfortunately i used the regular black 3 in 1 in it some years ago as it was really hot and i needed a fan, unfortunately i kind of forgot about it having detergent oil in it and used it for another 4 years, it was too far gone as it was making electrical burning smells after just reoiling the bearings with this proper oil, i dont blame 3 in 1, if anything the wrong product i chose of theirs helped, that fan lasted 4 more years and it was dead 4 years ago. I have other fans like my crofton tower fan and my honeywell turboforce fan i will not hesitate to continue to use this product on!
