> 3 dayWe have a TV stand that we keep the AVR in with about 5-6 inches of clearance above it. I had removed the backing on the stand to allow for better ventilation, but was still concerned about the temperature especially since it has a glass panel on the stand in front of the AVR.

> 3 dayHad concerns about new Denon AVR running hot based on other reviews. With Aircom S8 receiver never becomes hot. Can sometimes hear fan running if no audio present, however fan noise is minimal and has never distracted from audio or visual. Unit has a pleasing look to it. It is a simple product that works well and looks good in Home Theatre setting.

> 3 dayIm not used to a hot receiver. My past two Denon and Yamaha ran warm but not hot. I upgraded to a Marantz Receiver SR7009 and it ran hot. This unit eases my concerns about the heat. Its set on SmartSpeed adjusting fan speed based on temps. It typically turns on and stays on at speed 1 which is very quiet but effective. The only complaint I have is the white LED fan speed indicators are too bright in a HT setting. I covered it with clear tape painted blue so the LEDs now give a soft blue glow when on.

Greater than one weekIt works great. The perfect solution. Maybe adding a trigger so turning on a receiver would turn on the fan would be useful.

> 3 dayThe Aircom S8 is very quiet, I never run my receiver at high volumes so the S8 fans never run the fastest anyway.
