The cpu is 2.5ghz, but it has 4.5ghz turbo. So I am happy. It shows 4.2+ghz on task manager and I tested doom and got steady 120+hz. I upgraded with another 8gb ram and 1tb ssd for only about another $100 so for around $900 I am very happy with this purchase!

Its RAM is kinda bluh but Im planning on buying myself memory sticks! Its a really good laptop though and Im enjoying being able to have a gamer laptop for the price of a normal one? Its keyboard doesnt stay lit, but Im sure that makes it more worth it in the end. Because it prioritized your laptops energy over all else.

I got my daughter this computer for Christmas and she has absolutely loved it.... until one of the keys broke off. Most of the time she uses an extra keyboard for gaming, she was using the laptop keyboard and the s key broke off!! I cant put it back on very upset about this

Im late to the game (pun intended) with my review as there are already a few very complete and competent ones before mine. I agree with just about everything there, so Ill just add a few of my own thoughts.

I try to use this in class as well sometimes since I did spend several hundred dollars for it. No matter what fan settings you put it on it will randomly have moments where it sounds like a fighter jet in the middle of the room youre in. Even worse when actually gaming. Would tell myself not to buy it if I could go back in time.

So after doing some digging around and setting up my laptop I checked my storage after I had downloaded a single game being stardew valley which is a game that is really small its only take 500 mbs to download. Well I found out with a game thats 500mbs and all the things the laptop needs to be bale to cuntion I only am able to use roughly 90 gbs so if you want to play any shooter or any game that has decent amount of content you have to upgrade the storage cause 150 ish gb are used on nothing but the of and other default items which you cannot Uninstall to free up space. The fact of the matter is you are only able to actually use less than 100 gb which you have to really pay attention to other wise your storage will cap. I would have loved to get ark survival evolved but its a pretty big game being 231gb and with this laptop you can only use just under 100 of the advertised 256 gb memory

Laptop comes in the mail. Second day gets error and blue screen. Third day sparks and kills itself. Manages to turn on. The plug in port would beep nonstop and might shut off again as if the battery is nonexistent.

Charger didnt work so i couldnt even start up the laptop. Might not happen to you, person reading this but it will be annoying if it does.

Only hit against this is it doesnt support 3 monitors. If anyone knows a solution to this please let me know. I brought this laptop specifically to review Amazon purchases and my work laptop is infinitely better. But still does its job and is worth the money.
