I would say that there are a lot of problems that I am not sure whether to attribute to the laptop itself or to windows 11 being terrible. Basic functionality like, If you close your lid, youll need to restart your computer every time you open it again or it wont play videos, or The search button doesnt work at all, or Plug and play usb functionality stops working and you need to unplug and replug things constantly.

The laptop arrived dead. Failed to power on

Good sub-$1000 gaming laptops are hard to find, but The Nitro 5 gives great value without breaking the bank. The 10th Gen Core i5 processor is 2 generations old at this point, but it has plenty of power to run pretty much all modern games at a decent setting. The Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics processor is an entry level to the new Ray-Tracing sexiness thats the next big thing in graphics. On newer games you probably wont be able to get past the 60fps barrier at 1080p with the settings cranked, but dialing the details down a bit will give you better rates. The display is rated for 1080p and 144hz, and while its not the brightest or most vibrant screen out there, its fine for this price point. There is also a (full size) HDMI out, but I have not had occasion to connect this to an external monitor yet. The cooling fans do a good job of keeping this machine within temp specs... but do note they can get pretty loud under load (honestly thats almost inevitable on a gaming laptop, its hard to keep things cool in such a small box. Anyone who games on a laptop should invest in a good headset IMHO.)

Very happy with the laptop. Will upgrade the memory but was still a good deal. I am a little apprehensive about the hinges as the look awful flimsy and each hinge is only about 2 inches each. We will see if it holds up to a preteen gamer…

Being able to upgrade a laptop, and was easy to do, with a great screen, fast processor, good graphics, and efficient cooling, for a good price was important to me and this one checked all the boxes. Ive been using this laptop for about 3 weeks now and I love it. The only issue I have is using a KVM switch to switch between my work computer and this one using a single monitor, this laptop would not switch back. So, I would have to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in to get it to switch. Not sure why this is happening. Tried several different cables but still same problem. It could be the switch Im using but it does work with an older laptop I have. Other than that its a great laptop.

Really good laptop but the Esc button gets stuck and is annoying I will like to fix it but is a really powerful laptop for entry-level gaming

It doesnt turn on at all. LED indicators not lighting up even when plugged in. Already called tech support. Didnt help at all, decided to just return it.

Excellent choice for college age kids. 1st one was so good I bought another.
