> 3 dayReceived this switch to power 5 amcrest cameras I have. It works well and do not notice any issues with speed or power. Only complaint I have is that it will not power my POE TP-Link access point that my old POE switch would, but it works great on the cameras.

> 3 dayStarting with the packaging I felt the packaging was very well branded as well as user friendly to open and unbox. The presentation in the box for both the switch and the camera left nothing to be desired and was straightforward about knowing I have what I need to get started. First I unpacked the POE Switch. It felt very well built and was tastefully labeled. One of the first things I checked was to see if there was any way to mount the switch onto a wall. I did find the screws in the box however it took me a minute to grasp how it was meant to be mounted. The fact I must punch my own holes out of the switch is not something I feel very comfortable doing. As seen in the picture They dont pop out easily with your finger and I would be afraid of applying too much pressure and stabbing into the box and hitting some of the components. If in the future some rubber grommets or something similar that could be popped out were applied, it would make mounting it way more user friendly. It was very easy and quick to both hook up to my router and hook up to the camera. I enjoy the longer cord on the power supply to be able to position it where I want it and not worry about being horribly close to an outlet. I also like the indicators to show the status of each port. It connected almost instantaneously.

> 3 dayOrdered the Amcrest 8-Port POE Switch to accompany my recent Amcrest 4k AI POE Camera purchase. The package arrived quickly and came in a nice box. Inside the box was the switch, power cord, mounting screws, and instruction manual. Switch was packaged really well and safely inside. I really liked how plug and play the switch was to my existing network. I have a full Unifi network and connected the Amcrest POE switch to one of my managed switchs port. Then connected the Amcrest 4k AI POE Camera to the Amcrest POE switch. Within a minute I was able to find the POE camera in my Unifi dashboard and connect to it. Overall I think this is a great product at the right price point. Giving you a ton of PoE ports that work without having to configure a bunch of things. Its truly plug and play for most networks.

> 3 dayI bought to use with 2 POE cameras and this worked out of the box, just plugged the cables and the cameras was turned on. I will buy more cameras and see how it goes. I like the indicator led that shows what port is using POE and what port is using just LAN. If you are looking for a not so expensive POE switch, this is a great choice.

> 3 dayI couldnt till you how many Amcrest cameras and related equipment I have purchased. The stuff works as advertised BUT their customer support, specifically technical support is USELESS - THEY JUST PUT YOU ON HOLD DN FORGET YOU and the ONLINE CHAT just keeps CLOSING THE SESSION. Needless to say Im thinking another brand, JUST for SUPPORT!

> 3 dayThis Amcrest PoE switch was purchased to replace another brand PoE switch that I was having issues with. The previous switch had 3 PoE cameras connected and one camera would often have connection and/or power issues. Even after replacing the camera, the issues persisted leading me to believe it was the PoE switch and not the camera. I now have this new switch set up with the 3 PoE cameras that were previously connected to the old switch PLUS one additional camera (a new Amcrest 8K PoE camera) for a total of 4 and I have encountered no problems and all cameras are now working perfectly. I have the new Amcrest 8K PoE camera connected to port one on the Amcrest PoE switch. Port 1 on the switch supports Hi-PoE which provides up to 60w. Ports 2-8 are PoE+ (802.3at) and will provide up to 30w of power to each port. The switch can provide up to 96w total. The switch easy to set up, pretty much just plug and play. When PoE devices are connected the switch automatically recognizes them as PoE. Likewise, you can plug in non-PoE devices and they will work just fine and power will not be sent which could potentially damage a device. As far as network speed, right now all cameras are connected at full 1000Mbps and there are no noticeable bottlenecks or speed issues. All cameras are used with SecuritySpy software and SecuritySpy is able to find and connect to all the cameras on the network that are connected to this switch with no issues. Id definitely recommend this PoE switch which will help future proof your PoE home setup with the 96w power total plus the support of Hi-PoE. I compared this to a few other brands such as TP-Link and Netgear and both of those brands were more expensive and had less features such as only 4 PoE ports or 53w or 64w Max (instead of 96w) and no Hi-PoE support. Overall very happy with this Amcrest PoE switch and would definitely recommend it for use with Amcrest (or other) PoE cameras.

> 3 dayThis is a great unmanaged switch with eight POE ports, and the first port is a POE+, aka 802.3at port. POE+ is a fairly recent addition to the switching landscape, and can provide a LOT of power. A normal 802.3af port can provide up to 15 watts, whereas 802.3at can provide twice that. Some manufacturers make a switch that both provides POE and is powered BY POE. These take the 30 watts from the 802.3at port, use about 5 watts to power the switch, and then can power 1-2 other POE devices, like phones or an access point. So this switch really provides a lot of future-proofing. I use TP Link switches all over, both smaller non-POE switches, switches with some ports being POE, and now this switch with one beefy POE+ port and regular POE on the rest. It has a hard metal case, screws for wall mounting, and I highly recommend this switch!

> 3 dayIf you’re looking for a high speed switch that won’t drop the high speeds your paying for (400mbps+) then this is great! Other switches have a nice price point at $15 or so, but will likely be inconsistent with speed. At least that was my experience.

> 3 dayThe product did not provide enough power to my device and was getting erroneous results with my power-over-ethernet tester while the cameras they make her very high-quality the power switch does not seem to work very good I replaced mine with a Netgear and not Flawless results
