although it is easy to use, wasnt dependable after 2 useages. The first time i used it, I got 3 of the 4 tires inflated before overheating. second time same issue. Now it doesnt work. Was told by manufacture the brushes needed to be reset. Done. still now power to the compressor. Everything checked out fine. connection,power through the wiring harness. Just isnt worth the effort or money. now i just lost money that could have gone to a power tank.

Very good compact air compressor. The wiring harness was a bit short for the location I chose to install it (Rear Cargo Area) and extending it was slightly challenging due to the wire gage required to supply the correct voltage. If you intend on installing it in an engine bay or in the front of the cabin, the harness length should be fine. Also, it appears during assembly, the housing was bolted together slightly askew which marred the blue portion of the compressor. This is simply cosmetic, but the item was not listed as a scratch&dent.

This ARB air compressor is a fantastic piece of equipment. I installed it in the engine compartment of my Jeep Wrangler. I can now air my tires up after having some off road fun. Works like a charm.

Comes with wiring harness for the compressor and also built into the harnes 2 more switches for your air lockers and also comes with one rocker switch and a wiring diagrams the only trouble I had wiring was what the diagram said “ignition” that held me up for a couple of hours I ended up splicing it to the cigaret lighter because it only turns on when the key is in the ignition. You will need to buy seprate the tire inflator kit in order to use it as a compressor also u will need a tank if you wish to run air tools if u don’t want to use a tank get the arb twin compressor it can work your air tools at a constant rate.

The overall kit is great. ARB installation instructions are pitifully inadequate but luckily there are online resources that are written or demonstrated clearly. However, the pump itself is a premium item and comes with everything you need for most installations with options for an air line and lockers. The air pump up kit really has only three items of value; the hose and chuck. The other items, the inflator tips, are of suspect quality and poor materials and are not likely to last their first use. So I knocked off one star.

Does precisely what I need it to do. I use it to air up my 35x12.5x17 tires. Does not take that long at all.

I purchased this air compressor because of the company reputation and many good reviews. Let me start by saying that the quality of this compressor is very good. I dont expect any performance issues with it and I love the small compact package this offers. Now I want to dive into some of the deficiencies that many people didnt mention and that you should know before you make this purchase. Watch some installation videos on this, then understand that those videos dont tell you that this is an all day or maybe even all weekend install like it was for me. It all seemed pretty straight forward however some details brought my install to a halt even though I consider myself a very capable mechanic. So block off a good chunk of time to do this installation. Buy your own air fittings from the hardware store. I purchased ARBs actual quick connect accessory kit thinking it would streamline the installation. It was a joke. I spend 46 bucks on a kit that I couldnt use. Why? Because 2 of the 3 air ports on the compressor are different and none of the fittings in the accessory kit allowed me to actually connect the quick connect fitting. Just go to the hardware store and buy yourself a regular air hose quick connect fitting and a 1/4 inch T fitting. Unless you have lockers dont plan on being able to use the two blocked off ports on the air chamber on the pump. Ill be returning the accessory kit. While the included wire harness is in fact pretty plug and play its very over complicated. ARB gives you a harness that controls the pump and the option for two locker switches. Most people arent using lockers. In order to make everything work you have to use the whole wire harness even if you arent running lockers. I ended up cutting off all of the unnecessary wires for the two extra switches because I didnt want to have to try and conceal a bunch of wires not being used. Im a electronics technician by trade and they could have made this harness much more streamlined. Thank goodness for the mounting adjustments. I was able to tuck this pump in a very small area and the ability to rotate the pump and air chamber really helped get it right where I needed it. Once everything was hooked up and powered the air compressor works well. I have not yet used it to completely fill 4 tires but I dont have any doubt it will do the job.

I bought through Amazon Warehouse. It arrived as described and complete though the mfg packaging box had lived a hard life. Nonetheless the internal packaging for small parts had not been opened which let me to believe the compressor was not used and returned. It pumped up to pressure with no issues. The wire harness is a bit of spaghetti to sort out but it works just fine after you take time to read the super detailed step by step instructions.

Setup is rather intensive, but ARB gives you everything you need (except the butt connectors). I was able to mount it in on a plastic interior panel in the rear cargo area of my Jeep Cherokee XJ. Its loud and gets REALLY hot, but it works great and has given me no problems since I installed it a few months ago. It will fill one 31 x 10.50 tires from 12 to 33 psi in 1 min, 45 seconds.
