> 3 dayThe fan is small and made for personal use. It does the job for sure! I was surprised that it worked as stated.

12-04-2025I dont usually mind white noise from fans/air purifiers, but theres a shrill quality to the noise this device makes that I find particularly unpleasant. That said, it does a FANTASTIC job keeping me cool when Im working in my home office, so Ill continue using it despite the noise. I like the adjustable light. I suggest placing a towel underneath it when in use, because it produces a lot of condensation, particularly at higher settings

> 3 dayCould be great in a office cubicle type setting. In my house it was no better then a fan.

> 3 dayOur AC failed on a 100+ degree day. You can imagine trying to get service at this time. These were available for same day delivery. I expected something like a mini swamp cooler, but it is not! It has two little mist-makers that a small fan blows over. The cartridge is not a wetted filter ala swamp cooler -- it is a set of felt-like sponges that the wetted air blows by, not through. They will soak up some of the mist. The directions say you can pre-wet them and freeze them for added cooling. We did not try that. Heads up #1: It cools by evaporation --- if you are living in a humid place, it wont help you any more than a fan! Heads up #2 is the water. I suggest you use distilled/ purified water. Because it is a mister, it can fail due to minerals/ sediments plugging the tiny orifices. ( I suspect many of the quite working reviews are related to that.) Also, tap water minerals will give you a fine dust as the water evaporates. If you have a lung condition, you DO NOT want to add fine particles to your air. Heads up #3: Look carefully and make sure you have all the tape removed. I have one louver that will not adjust because I broke it due to tape. Heads up #4: Whatever you set it on will get wet-- so be careful of your particle board furniture/floors. Setting the louvers slightly up will help with the front drips. I note that one reviewer added a drip catcher to theirs as a fix. There will still be leakage from inside. The manufacturer failed to provide a pan feature at the bottom of the device. We are using those cheap plasticware covers (ala tupperware) to set them on. I suppose you could use a cookie sheet, foil, plasticwrap, etc for the same purpose. Another reviewer used this for the purpose https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PKH3E4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bottom Line -- I am happy with them (we bought 2). They kept us reasonably comfortable til our AC got a temporary band-aid. The outside fan motor was going out on thermal protection- which lead to the compressor stopping due to high pressure. We are waiting on a replacement motor that is Mojave rated. If the existing motor burns up before the new one arrives, we are OK with these little units!!

08-04-2025My room temperature was ~22C, I put the thermostat in front of this fan and it measured around 16.5C. You can actually feel the cold air blowing. However this thing could humidify your room a little bit, might be a good or a bad thing depending on what you want. Other things to keep in mind: 1- You may need to put a towel under it, the mist can collect on the fins and leak water 2- Power the device with the plug that comes with it, or make sure to use the same power output if you want to use an alternative power source. It may not work properly if you plug it in you PC or a low current power bank.

> 3 dayUpon first use, I found the unit easy to use without reading the directions. I would suggest distilled water to keep down contaminants. It does what it says I am well pleased with the unit overall. The only thing in the description that I was a little mislead to think it had a built in battery pack so you could use it just about anywhere. Cant give 5 stars for that reason. If you want to take this camping and use inside your tent or over your hammock I would suggest an external portable power pack for the unit then you would be golden. Overall I am impressed know the design is based on a swamp cooler which works better in higher humid areas than areas with low humidity. Southern states and states like AZ will find this unit great to use, Northern states may not get the same results. But was well worth the investment! Even small enough to pack away in a backpack if I want!
