I ordered this after seeing the advertisement to cool any room in under 3 minutes. Does it work as well as I had hoped, no, but to be honest at the moment I dont think the refrigerator is cold enough for me. But it does cool. Definitely not like an ac, but I tell you what, we live a split level duplex and our bedroom feels like you walked through the gates of hell to the point that for the last 3 years we just slept in our living room. Well I did to much embarrassment put foil on the window and cover it with a blanket to keep all the afternoon sun out. And I got it better in there and today my little cooler came. I put it in there after freezing the filter and adding ice water its making a big difference. I do have my ac directed that way and a few fans to circulate the air but I think we may sleep comfortably tonight, I hope.

I bought this thing to have on my desk. I stream and do a lot of other things on my PC. Works great! Only flaw is not being able to clean the water “tank” so use bottled water if you live in an area with harsh tap water!

However if your a family youll be fighting on who has the box. The ac is light weight but its only for one person theyll be comfortable not perfect for a family of 4 like mine I recommend you buy Two

I would rate it higher, but the power cord it came with doesnt really work with it. I thought it broke, but it was actually the power cord that stopped working. I ordered a different one and tried using the same cord and it didnt work either. Thats when I realized the power cord had crapped out, not the unit itself. So now I have to return the other one I bought and get a better power cord for it. I like it because it does what its meant to do though. I have it on the table next to my bed for when I sleep. I need it pretty cold to sleep comfortably, because I over heat easily when I sleep. My dog usually gets out of bed because she gets too hot too, but now with this she stays in bed with me most of the night so I feel like my dog likes it too. I like the night light option, it looks cool and its not too bright to sleep with, but its bright enough to see by when you wake up in the night. I also feel like it acts as a humidifier because I notice that the humidity in my reptile enclosures dont drop as much at night any more and I know thats probably good for all my plants too. If youre expecting it to significantly cool a room it wont do that, but it drops the room temp by a couple degrees after its been on a while, but when youve got it pointed directly at you it will definitely cool you off.

Smaller then expected a little noise good as a personal fan. Height is the size of an iPhone.

After about ten minutes the device collected water on the vents. As you see I had to put a towel under it to catch the water.

Upon first use, I found the unit easy to use without reading the directions. I would suggest distilled water to keep down contaminants. It does what it says I am well pleased with the unit overall. The only thing in the description that I was a little mislead to think it had a built in battery pack so you could use it just about anywhere. Cant give 5 stars for that reason. If you want to take this camping and use inside your tent or over your hammock I would suggest an external portable power pack for the unit then you would be golden. Overall I am impressed know the design is based on a swamp cooler which works better in higher humid areas than areas with low humidity. Southern states and states like AZ will find this unit great to use, Northern states may not get the same results. But was well worth the investment! Even small enough to pack away in a backpack if I want!

Its alright for an hour or so then you have to fill it with ice cubes and water again to keep you cool. I usually but it on the table if I have a barbecue on a hot day but it gets tiring to keep having to refill.

Our glass surround office building is waiting on a part for the air conditioning system. The office gets miserably hot. We have all been buying fans. I found this and thought Id try it. This keeps my area nice and cool and is sooooo much better than a fan that is just pushing around warm air. It basically cools the air using ice, so if you cant easily add ice, you may not be as proud of it. Luckily we have an ice machine so I add ice twice a day.

The fan is small and made for personal use. It does the job for sure! I was surprised that it worked as stated.
