> 3 dayI found a lot of mixed reviews here but I took the chance on an item that could be a gimmick. I have not tested in the summer yet but initial test show that it could possible keep my person cool in the very small office I have. I do not think this will do anything in an average bedroom unless blowing directly on you. I have another small fan in my office and when both on high, they make about the same noise. The air is cooler than a regular fan. Condensation does buildup on the front so I will likely have to place a small towel underneath but if it works as I expect in the summer time, that will be worth it. This is not an air conditioning unit but it is a nifty item that will come in handy on the hot days stuck in my office.

Greater than one weekMy Venti fan works better than this. It doesn’t cool like advertised or even close to advertised. You can make an ice chest swamp cooler that works better

> 3 dayDirections are easy to follow, and easy to use. However this product is best used if youre in a very small tight space. In large areas like offices, I wouldnt recommend this tho.

> 3 dayI use this product primarily to keep myself cool while at my desk. I put ice cubes and water in it and it blows cold air in my face while Im working and its wonderful. It lowers the temperature of the air noticably and is superior to a fan. I hadnt used a swamp cooler before so take it from me: Dont use it in a closed room without ventilation. The main negatives are that it tends to make a mess on occasion if you use it for long periods. I havent spent much time troubleshooting it, but I suspect that if you use it on the Turbo setting, or use it with the maximum water flow and a low airflow setting, that a large amount of condensation develops, overfilling the shallow internal well and creating a pool of water around the bottom of the unit. This is a modest design flaw that I wish they highlighted in the manual. I am planning on designing my own pedestal for it to compensate for this.

> 3 dayMy room temperature was ~22C, I put the thermostat in front of this fan and it measured around 16.5C. You can actually feel the cold air blowing. However this thing could humidify your room a little bit, might be a good or a bad thing depending on what you want. Other things to keep in mind: 1- You may need to put a towel under it, the mist can collect on the fins and leak water 2- Power the device with the plug that comes with it, or make sure to use the same power output if you want to use an alternative power source. It may not work properly if you plug it in you PC or a low current power bank.

Greater than one weekThe product is fine and works but it holds water when done in the bottom filter tray. So you have to keep a towel under it

> 3 dayIve seen some of the other reviews complaining this little evaporative cooler fan isnt blasting cold air...well jeez, for $40, youre not going to get central air conditioning. I set mine on my patio table (here in hot sunny Arizona), keep the dampened cooler pad grid in the freezer so it can chill, grab a cup of ice cubes and a bit of water, pour into to the top of the unit, install the frozen pad grid, and turn it on. It doesnt put out really cold air, just cooler air. It has an adjustable vent so you can aim it up or down. Its not all that quiet, especially in Turbo mode, but not an issue outside for me. I do understand some reviewers mentioning the lighting issue (because they are trying to use this to help them sleep). Even with all the LED light options turned OFF, the power and mode LEDs (amber), still stay lit, and shine through the plastic housing. Duct tape should resolve that. Overall, I didnt expect greatness from this little box, but it does beat a regular desktop fan (and my outdoor ceiling fan) that just blows hot air around. It doesnt take up a lot of space, and the small Micro-USB cable doesnt get in the way, or become difficult to manage. Arctic...no, cool breeze....sure. Long lasting...only until the ice cubes melt and the pads dry out, but by then, Im ready to head back indoors for more ice, and a cocktail refill. Cheers!

07-04-2025I got my Arctic Air Pure Cool 2.0 yesterday and tested it last night. This works as advertised and does exactly what its designed to do. This is not an air conditioner with a compressor etc etc. It is a small, personal evaporative air cooler and works only to cool you and not the entire room. It works best close to you and pointed at you. It does blow nice, cool air and by following the directions it can be made colder. Technically these dont lie by calling these air conditioners because technically, an evaporative air cooler is a type of air conditioner. Personally I love mine and it actually made me cold last night (I bought it for by my bed for the really hot nights). Very well designed and easy to maintain. Just as I said, do not expect this to cool an entire room, the device isnt meant to do that. As I stated, its to be pointed at you, in close proximity, and filled with water, optimally the cartridge presoaked and frozen, put together and you turn it on to help best the heat and take the edge off. Think if it as a step up from just a tiny desk fan. Very good product though! Be warned, I do live on a humid environment and while this works very well, these are meant to be used on dryer climates. Just Google evaporative air coolers for more info on how they work and such,
