> 3 dayA major university wants to use our classroom for remote classroom instruction. I have been tasked with researching, testing, and configuring our classroom for that purpose. I purchased the AVKANS 20X NDI Auto Tracking PTZ Camera. My area of responsibility is network administration, this is my first deep dive into telecommunications. Being unfamiliar with the camera I emailed Avkans support with questions. They responded almost immediately. We exchanged several emails when they offered to remote in and help configure the camera. Im in Pennsylvania, US, Avkans support is in China, a 12 hour time differential. They accommodated my schedule, which is unheard of in the tech support field. They have gone above and beyond my expectations. Technical support is extremely important to me and bad support will keep me from buying a product. I would have to rate Avkans support among the best, if not the best, tech support that I have encountered. I dont know how many more cameras I will need but if I do I will be buying Avkans cameras.

> 3 dayI’d previously purchased the 30x version for our church livestream, and needed a second. We decided to pick up the 20x version since we weren’t going to need maximum zoom. The picture of this unit is good, and the user interface is decent enough for volunteers to get to grips with. Plenty of options to get the image dialed in. There are a couple of things to be aware of, though. The 20x version doesn’t use the same remote at the 30x, so you can’t add it as a second camera to that remote. Means you’re juggling remotes unless you want to set up another control method. The remote included with the 20x version does seem to be better than the 30x, with more options built in. The range is very short though, so we aren’t able to run the camera from our control booth using the remote, even though it’s only about 20 feet from our position. This can be resolved through the Ethernet control option though, so it’s not a major issue. For the price and functionality, it’s hard to beat these options though, and I’ve been very pleased with the unit so far.

> 3 dayI purchased the AV-E20-NDI for use in our church service stream. So this camera is in its infancy because it E - economy version of its big brother. It has all of the basics of a PTZ camera with the addition of NDI built in. I needed some tech support right out of the gate and Jenny, from tech support, was very good you just have to deal with the time difference between the US and China. I could communicate with her starting at 8:30pm central time. They are working on a firmware update to fix a couple of features but the camera functions well without it will just be better. The NDI capability is great. It easily connected to my other NDI software (VMIX). I am using an open source software called Bitfocus Companion to control the Camera. You just set it up as a PTZOptics Visca camera and it works. I use Companion because our other camera is a vaddio conference shot which uses a non standard control setup and Companion can communicate with both devices in one place. I cant speak to the longevity of the camera yet. I went with all 5 stars because it just functions, they are improving it as we speak, support is responsive and it fills a niche area for smaller churches on a budget that cant afford the 1, 2, 3, 4, ... thousand dollar cameras.

> 3 dayThis worked great for our Chapel. We have a 2 camera setup....a camcorder for the reader at the podium which is fixed....then we have this AVKAN PTZ Auto Tracking Camera as our Main camera that tracks and follows the Presider. Works great with OBS Studio and I can cut between the two cameras with OBS Studio which is a GREAT free software. Incredible zoom as well and tracking works perfect! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayThese cameras are used at our woodturning shop to allow an audience to watch our demonstrations on large monitors. The image quality is very good and the pan, tilt and zoom functions are great.

> 3 dayThe design and quality of the camera are really good and strong and was easy to add to the Ndi network we use. Unfortunately the tracking function wasnt useful for us. Overall: the camera is a good buy but for our purposes (4K) not good enough. Interesting to see is that the software for the tracking seems to be identical to the Ptzoptics tracking camera !! But for a much better price :)

> 3 dayIll admit, Im not up to date with technology, especially entering a new world of PTZ cameras and video production. I had a couple user friendly issues at first, but customer service went above and beyond to help me. I would bet money that no other company would assist you with their products better than AVKANS. Im a customer for life. Perfect for churches, Im personally using it for a professional wrestling production. Can we talk about how much money this thing is going to save me on having to hire another camera person? Also, the PTZ motor in it is extremely quiet. No vibration when in use. I am planning to buy another one soon.
