5.006/18/2018 SO FAR SO GOOD: EXCELLENT HAND VAC FOR PET FUR PICKUP Best Uses Pet Hair on furniture and other pet sleeping areas Our cat and two dogs are allowed on a few pieces of furniture. We have looked long and far for a dustbuster hand vac which actually will pick up pet hair and lint without damaging the surface of the furniture and which has the suction to pick up all the hair. When our latest iteration of a hand vac died, we did some research and discovered Bissell. After reading the reviews we could find, we settled on the Deluxe Corded Hand Vac - 47R51. We were concerned that one review said the filter became clogged and had to be replaced often. Even so, we decided to order the 47R51 and we are so glad we did. It picks up pet hair far more easily and more quickly than any hand vac we have ever owned. We do not understand the criticism because we are able to empty the pet hair quickly and easily. We have only been using the 47R51 for three weeks, so our experience is limited. However, I would buy another one today is we were to break the one we currently have. We are not sure how or why it works so well, but it does.

I bought this for our 24-foot RV and it fits the bill! Small enough to store under the sink and light enough to swing it around the space to clean up the dirt that gets tracked in after a long weekend. The attachments are handy for all the corner spots and despite the unit being plastic, seems able to withstand unclipping and clipping the waste receptacle a couple hundred time. Great purchase!

I bought this handheld mini-vacuum rather than other manufacturers, because it is a plug in electric cord. I want to make sure I dont put lithium batteries in my house. There are many electric bikes charged in apartments in NYC which have caused deadly fires. Most other manufacturers were using lithium batteries.

Ok. This is only the 2nd review Ive ever written, but felt I needed to. I was skeptical of this vacuum after reading some of the negative reviews. In fact, so much that along with it I bought a tape lint remover and extra rolls. When the vacuum showed up I decided to give it a go. I have a futon and bought a black cover for the mattress so itd match my interior. I have a lamb retriever with redish brown hair. The dude sheds a lot. More so than I thought seeing how much more the hair shows up on the black cover. I tried my shark vacuum with the pet hair attachment that I thought previously worked rather well. Not so much on this black cover. I had to pick up a lint tape roll. It worked better than the vacuum but each time I went through a lot of tape. I fired this thing up with the default rubber attachment on it. One swipe and I was completely amazed. I proceeded to clean the whole thing. Took me less than 5 minutes. I couldnt believe how well it worked! Lots of suction! It completely removed the hair! It was really easy to open the canister to empty it too. No trouble at all. I cant understand where some reviews say they cant use it as a regular hand vac because the vents blow down. Mine appears to blow out both sides. Besides it came with multiple attachments including a decent length hose where if the air did blow down I cant see how it would pose the issues called out in some of the negative reviews if the hose was attached. It worked far better than anything Ive used to date. I packed the lint remover tape dispenser away along with the extra roll replacements. I may just send them back. My experience was no where near that of the negative reviews Ive read. At least for me in my experience, this thing is amazing. Thats why I felt the need to review it.

I use this for my car. The rubber attachment is really good at picking up pet hair and the hose is small enough to get between the tight spots. Suction power is better than I expected.

    Greater than one week

Im halfway through a 4-week stay at a hotel and Ive got my cat with me. Leading up to this transition between my old home and my new one, I was apprehensive at the thought of living in such close quarters with my cat, dealing with his hair and tracked litter. Yuck!! Ive had my Bissell handheld vac nearly 6 months but previously only used it occasionally - under normal living conditions, its the full sized vacuum that gets used. But here at the hotel I use the hand vac daily. I have a lidded plastic container for the vac. Pulling it out, plugging it in and getting rid of the bits of litter and then shoving the vac back into the container couldnt be easier. It isnt too heavy, I love the placement of the on/off switch (you can easily turn it on and off with the hand youre using to hold it) and the cord is long enough that I keep part of it wrapped up in the pre-attached velcro strip. I find that I mostly use the straight piece rather than the rubbery attachment. If anyone is contemplating living in a hotel room - or other small space - with a cat, heres how I avoid having to deal with stray pet hairs going up my nose ... I place the cat in the dry bathtub, sit on the edge, and brush him down good with his rubber Kong brush. As anyone knows who has used one of those rubber brushes, they accumulate a lot of hair and while most of it sticks to the brush some of it flies around a bit. After Im done, I use the hand vac to clean off any cat hair that has stuck to the tub. I also have a sheet that I cover the bed with during the day and in the evening I hold it over the dry tub to shake the cat hair off, then use the hand vac in there. So thats my story. Oh, and it also works great around your tv chair if you happen to scatter bits of popcorn. :)

I have owned two of these little vacuums...use it mostly on my stairs and does a great job. My only complaint is that the handle is hollow and eventually will crack with frequent use. Had this happen with both vacuums and with this last one, I husband-rigged it with lots of electrical tape and am still using it!
