I just tried this machine out and the heavens opened, and angels are singing. It just did everything it promised YAY! I have all hard floors for 5 decades, so I’ve had plenty of mopping experience, and I’ve raised 3 sons, now a teen daughter I adopted, and numerous pets. The bonus plan is that since my husband will do almost any chore/task if it involves a noisy machine. He likes to vacuum, and loves to pressure wash driveway and patio/pool deck etc. My scheme is to show him this, and fingers crossed, he’ll do some of the floor washing.

We love our new BISSELL HydroSteam! Such a versatile machine. Great for everything.. especially our hardwood floors throughout the house. The wet vac also made it easy to clean the bathroom tile floors. Just a couple carpets in our place and it did an amazing job cleaning quickly without pretreatment. The steam and wash features make cleaning up pet messes easy. The vacuum had great suction throughout the whole process. It comes with a sample bottle of multi-floor cleaner and two other sample cleaners - one for the vacuum and one for hardwood floors. It is easy to set up and break down. Highly recommended for people with pets or kids or any other humans.

I was skeptical about this product mainly because of the price and having never used a Bissell product in the past, however the difference between mopping and using the crosswave was night and day, lifting up dirt I couldn’t even see in my tile floor. Only feedback is that it does go through a generous amount of cleaning solution, which is not cheap, but a small price to pay for the level of clean you get.

Nothing gets my floors cleaner. I was hesitant to buy this because so many reviews talked about a smell or that it stopped working. You have to clean it after every use, it’s worth it, but takes about 10 minutes to properly complete. That will keep it working and prevent the smells they talk about. You have to buy the cleaning products and I buy the brush cleaner for the cleaning cycle but if you understand this up front, there are no surprises. It’s a fantastic deep cleaning tool that’s as easy as vacuuming. The first few times I cleaned what I thought were clean floors, the water was almost black. I don’t know how anyone has kids or a dog without it!

I have a regular mop, a steam mop, swifters and a number of different tools to clean my floors. I have 3 very large dogs and kids and the kids friends. We have a semi grassy back yard due to the dogs and we also have a pool. So between the kids and the kids friends, the pool water and the dogs my light colored barn wood (vinyl) floors look pretty filthy. You get tired is mopping and steam mopping only to have them look like you didn’t touch them 24 hours later. I ran across on an ad on social media and I was like hmmm….kinda skeptical it could clean that good. So I ordered it with the thought if it doesn’t work, it’s a pain to clean or it’s way hyped I’ll send it back. It’s not a cheap thing but if it saves my sanity it will be worth every dime. So it came the other day. Just happened to be raining. Put two and two together dogs + rain = lots of muddy paw prints. Even when I can catch them all and wipe paws there is still enough wet on this big paws to create muddy paw prints. We sat down and unboxed the unit. Assembled it- really super easy. Not much to assemble. Now here’s the tricky part…..READ THE DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO USE IT!! I know tough stuff. It’s pretty simple. So my daughter insists to use it first because all to often it winds up being one of her chores. And let’s face it any teenager is looking for a way to cut down chore time and get it done good so mom doesn’t make her do it again. 20 minutes later she is done. And I was like…..no way. We have a very large kitchen and dining area. This usually takes a good hour. I walk in to see my floors like clean. I mean really clean. No puddled water, no smears of dirty water. Just fresh smelling clean, I mean actually clean floors. Oh it also does area rugs as well. So for me it does a great job -‘d is a huge time saver. Win-win!! Bissell knocked it out of the park on this one.

At least I hope thats what it was. Right out of the box mine did not produce any steam at all.. it didnt even get warm. Without the steam its still clean my floor pretty well, but I am returning it.

Having used many other vacuums, I can say this vacuum is one of the best. The multi-purpose function is so nice and the entire thing itself is very compact making it easy to use and maneuver. The amount of dirt and grime that comes out of the water tank after a session makes me realize how l much we needed this vacuum. While we don’t have pets yet, it does a number on all the hair I leave behind as well which is a huge bonus AND it doesn’t get stuck on the brush roll like other vacuums. Very easy cleanup as well!

I got the liquids mentioned in the ad but no extra brush and received one extra filter where the photo has 2. Cant wait to try it. Will post new review after experience.

I love the Self Cleaning on this machine!! My previous Crosswave was amazing and worked so well on my hard floors - I saw this updated model and decided to give my original to my daughters and take the new one and I’M SO GLAD I DID! This model has steam cleaning mode as well as a clean cycle which cleans the roller brush (which we all know is the most disgusting part). Mine came with two small bottles of cleaner/sanitizer and a small bottle of clean cycle solution. For cleaning, you empty and clean out the dirty water tank then reattach. Fill the clean water reservoir with hot water to the mark, the pour a small amount of the cleaning solution into the storage tray. Set the machine in place and press the clean cycle button. The initial sound worried me, but then it kicks in and cleans the brush. Once finished you open the top, remove the brush, and set it into its slot to dry. I’m a little concerned what that cleaning will cost over time when I have to purchase the cleaner, but not touching the nasty brush is a plus. Everything else works mostly like my last machine. It vacuums up most dirt (with a struggle on anything larger like many machines these days), but mopping at the same time is so convenient when you’re busy!! The light is bright and helpful, though the light stays on when the machine is plugged in-not just when it’s on. That’s a little annoying for me, but certainly not an issue. Huge fan of this machine!!
