This is a very nice quality transparent black acrylic that should cut beautifully with a co2 laser. If you are using a diode laser, this will not cut.

I brought this product to cut with diode laser , Xtool D1 , cut though this with ease, backing paper is easy to come off , package nice with the backing paper in a bubble wrap sleeve in a box, Not the cheapest acrylic but works well

I got this for laser cutter projects. The yellow is a nice color and the material came well packaged in a box with a bubble-wrap bag inside around the acrylic. Each sheet has brown masking material. Cant bet this for your laser projects under 12 -- I prefer cast acrylic and it cuts very nicely. My only constructive feedback would be that it would be nice if this vendor would offer more colors.

Its good with my 20 W diode laser.

I purchased this to try to make earrings with on my laser engraver. I tested out the material on both a 10watt diode laser and a 45watt CO2 laser. The 10watt did an OK job. A little rough around the edges but i think it is due to the laser limitations. I made the same item using a CO2 laser and it cut like butter. So smooth and crisp. Overall, the material was packaged REALLY well and had zero flaws. I will definitely be buying this again in the future.

As this was an Xtool Selected product and I was using it with my Xtool D1 Pro 20W laser, I felt pretty confident this would work well. First off, it arrived in a bubble wrap envelope inside a cardboard branded box. Each sheet is masked on front and back. With acrylic being so prone to scratches, I was really happy to see it so well-protected. You get 3 12x12 sheets inside the package. The red is a bright red and glossy on both sides. Each sheet is 5mm thick. Previously, I had only tried 3mm acrylic and the 5mm feels much more substantial. This stuff is THICK. For my first try, I used the Xtool Creative Space pre-programmed settings for 5mm red acrylic. Engraving comes out a nice frosted, lighter red color that is definitely easy to read for text. The suggested cut settings also worked well and popped right out (when I had the laser focused correctly), but there is a little melting on the bottom half of the cut (see photo). Its likely not an issue for most projects, but I may try lowering the focus a bit more and/or a few other tweaks to see if I can get it a little cleaner. As with lasering all acrylics, you want to make sure you are venting the fumes properly. For the amount and quality of the acrylic, Id say this is a pretty good buy and I will definitely purchase more in colors that work with my diode laser.

I really like this for use in my K40 laser - it cuts and etches consistently, seems to have less of an odor, and has an interesting frosted finish on both sides. The frosting makes it a little tricky to use - since the edges are shiny and transparent, any inconsistency or irregularity of the edge is readily obvious. This is. very interesting aesthetically, but shows off your mistakes! One of my favorite features is plastic liner on one side, paper on the other. This way I can cut the paper side (protecting against fume deposits on the surface), and not have to remove it (or use blue tape) or melt another layer of plastic. I havent figured out how to take advantage of the frosted finish yet, but I look forward to finding out.

These are pristine pieces of acrylic that are as expected. They are NOT clear nor transparent at all. They are fully opaque and slick. Beautiful but not see through. I suspect that all of these varying colors will be the same non-transparent products. If this is what you need, you are in the right place!

The xTool black acrylic is a thin, very translucent plastic sheet. It is 1 mm thick and slightly under 11 3/4 square (297 mm) for the sides. The sheets and thin, but semi-rigid. Theyre more of a smoky gray than black. It is highly translucent, and you can clearly see details behind it almost as if it was as colorless piece of acrylic. There is a high degree of light transmittance, and it is not as dark as most of the ad pictures, perhaps closer to the second picture that shows a light gray. While that is not ideal for diode lasers, the thinness of the acrylic and the even dark coloration allows it to be cut at higher diode power outputs. This works great for decorative art pieces, stencils, building models, etc... but if you plan on making a structural part such as gears, you could cut identical pieces and layer them together at the cost of losing translucency. Overall, it is a thin acrylic. It is very clear, and the color is a lot lighter than expected but it is laser cuttable both by diode and CO2.
