> 3 dayI am just learning about MERV ratings and what they mean. This is my understanding: Basically, there is MERV 2 through MERV 20. Most residential buildings need a minimum of a MERV 6. Commercial buildings use MERV 9 or better typically. Hospitals use MERV 13 or better typically. A MERV 8 is supposed to be suitable for residence or industrial workplaces and filters out Mold/spores, dust/dust mites, lint, textile and carpet fibers, and pollen. That is typically what homeowners want. Having this available for this price on Amazon is so convenient for several reasons. Number one: there is nothing more annoying than having to trudge through a home supply store trying to find something like this -- at least in my opinion. Number two: the price on Amazon is just as good or cheaper. Number three: it comes straight to your door.

> 3 dayWhat can I say other than these fit my furnace and it seem to work just as well as my other filters. Really cant complain about this one. But if youre new to buy filters, the Merv is what you need to look at since that is the rating on how much it gets filter. If you pick a Merv that is too high, then you wont get as good of airflow. If you got one that is too low then it really doesnt filter much.

> 3 dayFurnace filters are one of those necessary maintenance items that goes along with home ownership. With so many choices of filters, how do you decide? These BNX filters seem to be a good choice. The package includes (6) filters that are metal reinforced, white and have a MERV 8 rating. Compared to my usual brand of filter that I purchase locally, there is very little difference in weight, construction or quality. The value of these filters I would consider just OK. My reasoning for that is that at $39.99 for the 6 pack equals $6.66 each. My normal name brand filters normally cost $4.89 at regular price locally, thus making these average or just below average in value. They are good filters though and deserving of 5 stars.

> 3 dayIt is not always easy finding good filters for our older furnace, that fit well and do a good job. These filters are excellent and fit perfectly!

> 3 dayThese USA made well made filters work great on my furnace. Love the style and how much dust and other allergens are being trapped before getting into my home.

> 3 dayWe usually use furnace filters that are rated 12-14 MERV, so I was interested to find out if we could tell much difference between these MERV 8 and what we have been using. Tree pollen is terrible in my area right now and my husband and I have allergies, so this is a great time to test this out. After 3 weeks, we could not tell any difference in air quality with these filters compared to the name brand allergy, bacterial and virus filters that are about twice the price. In a side by side comparison, you can see that the MERV 12 filter has many more folds than this MERV 8 filter, and it feels a little heavier. But if you cant tell the difference, Im wondering if it is necessary to pay so much more for the higher MERV.

> 3 dayI have ordered filters from Amazon before and had them arrive mangled. These filters arrived well-packaged and in excellent condition. My only negative is the cost. I do not understand why furnace filters cost so much money when they are merely paper folded accordion fashion surrounded by a cardboard frame.

> 3 dayThis is a nice set of filters for the price. The filters took longer to arrive than expected but arrived intact and look fine.
