Greater than one weekThese look and feel like good quality house filters. I replaced my usual cheap filter with these and although I cant recognize any immediate difference, they seem to work just as well and presumably, having finer filtration will be beneficial. No noticeable difference in airflow which is good. Long story short, these work well, appear to be made of good quality materials and arent prohibitively expensive. Certainly worth the asking price. My Star Rating Guide: -------------------------------------------------------------------- ★ - Low Quality / fundamentally flawed product - I do not recommend it at all ★★ - Poor Quality - Works, but is disappointing for various reasons. ★★★ - Decent Quality - Is what it claims to be but there may be better options. ★★★★ - Very Good - Worth considering. ★★★★★ - Excellent - I highly recommend it.

13-04-2025Full Disclosure: I received this product free of charge [Amazon Vine program] in exchange for my true, honest, and unbiased product review and evaluation, which follows: These A/C return filters are awesome! They make a noticeable difference in your homes indoor air quality...as proven by the air quality metrics with my Dyson air purifier. And my air purifier runs much less [auto setting] after installing these filters. These air conditioning return filters offer exceptional air filtration with no noticeable difference or reduction in air flow. And if I can get between three to six months of use out of these A/C return filters, they will prove to be a pretty good value as compared to the 30-day filters I was previously using...while greatly improving my indoor air quality. The MERV-8 filter rating on these filters is about 8 times better then the filters I was using. Bottom line, excellent quality and value, get these filters, youll be glad you did. I highly recommend.

> 3 dayWhile I mentioned the price, I did receive these so I could provide this review. Nice to have a Made In America product for a change :) Filters work well in my HVAC system, they appear to have a good filtering system that only time will tell. I do not anticipate any issues however. I also need to keep our air as clean as possible as my wife has COPD and these should do the trick. If I dont reply to this review in a few months then know that they are working well!

> 3 dayThis are cut to fit exactly as they should. Also, the outer cardboard frame is sturdier than many I have found locally. It slid into place easily without snagging on anything and I expect that its removal will be as easy when it comes time to replace it. I would definitely get these again.

My Two Cents
> 3 dayOf the eight filters I received in this pack, four of them had some sort of damage to the cardboard frame or the pleats. BNX touts a reduction of environmental waste by making their frames one-sided, but that should definitely be taken into consideration when deciding how best to pack & ship multiple filters in a way that ensures they maintain their integrity while in transit, and arrive to the buyer in perfect condition. With that said, these are MERV 8 filters, electrostatically charged, with a MPR of 1000 (surprisingly high), and a FPR of 5. Thats a budget (but adequate) MERV & FPR rating, but Im skeptical of the supposed MPR1000 comparison. MERV is the industry standard, and FPR & MPR are Home Depots & 3Ms brand specific ratings, respectively. These BNX filters have my curiosity piqued with a MPR1000 equivalence (3M rating equivalence to a MERV 11 filter), so I really dont know what to think about the filtration ability of these MERV 8s. Basically, MERV 8 filters are supposed to capture 70% of particles sized 3-10 microns & 20% of particles sized 1-3 microns. MPR1000 means theyre catching 88% of the 3-10; 77% of the 1-3; AND 41% of the .3-1. If they truly filter to this degree, they should be rated between MERV 11 & MERV 12, so Im not sure Im buying the MPR1000 equivalence. Theyre priced in such a way that it makes the most sense to buy larger quantities. I got the eight pack for $60.99, so $7.62 each. Not sure if these are worth the price if the MPR rating is off. MERV 8 filters of this size (20x25x1) are around $5-6 each. Considering the flimsy frame, these seem a little overpriced for what youre getting. They shouldnt be more than $6 each on average. Unless Im wrong about the MPR1000 & they really do filter that well, in which case some documentation would be great, and $7.62 each would be an okay price.

> 3 dayI pay double this price for these at Home Depot. The size fits exactly as listed and the quality of the actually filter is the same as ones that are double the price. They have last the full 3 months as recommended before changing. I will be buying these again.

> 3 dayLike the lint trap in your dryer, the filter in your HVAC system is easy to overlook. But Ive trained myself to clean the lint trap every time I use the dryer, and to change the filters in my HVAC system before they get overloaded. For that reason, its great to have a supply of filters on hand. These do the trick. The MERV rating of 8 is sufficient to catch most ordinary stuff floating around in the air. If youve got the unusual stuff -- dust from coal or lead, for example -- youll want a stronger filter. But absent that, these should do the job. Very glad to have them.
