> 3 dayJust what the doctor (plumber) ordered. Good stuff at a great price. My last one was still useable but wow was it taking a beating. This one is on standby for a little while. If you dont have one in your tank youll be sorry. It takes the abuse so your tank doesnt.

> 3 dayThis was purchased to use in my 2018 Scamp 16 travel trailer. I did not realize an anode rod is NOT needed in a Scamp (IF) the hot water heater is an Atwood brand, they DO NOT use an anode rod because the inside of their tanks is made of different materials. If the hot water heater is the Suburan brand, they DO use an anode rod. (This information is directly from the Scamp service department).

13-04-2025Water Heater anode rod needs to be replaced every six months if using your RV regularly. A fellow RVer advised me of this. I had never replaced the anode and when I did it was more or less completely disintegrated. Replacing it every six months will prolong the life of your water heater and your soft water filter will stay cleaner longer too.

> 3 dayI replace these about every two years or about 60 days of camping. If you use your RV more thanyou may want to replace it more often. This one is for a 6 gal tank and we have a 10 gal tank. We did buy one last year for the 10 but it would not fit.

> 3 dayI recommend one of two things. one, get one of these at least once every six months to prevent clogged water lines or get a plug to plug the drain on your hot water heater. beware though if you simply get a plug, you could ruin your hot water tank with constant bad water. this rod works hard at protecting your hot water tank, but you should check it at least once every three months to ensure that it is not breaking down in your system. i like them and will continue to use the rods, not plugs.

> 3 dayThis was exactly what I needed for the WH in my Fleetwood Pioneer camper. I was unsure of the size I needed, but this fit perfectly.

> 3 dayNo one knows you have to replace these twice a year in a RV or trailer but super important! So easy to change it yourself. Order one before you need it!
