This product does what it says it does, protects your water heater from corrosion be attracting contaminants to the tank. Just because your tank is glass lined which many are now, it doesnt mean your tank will not rust through. Is it not better to pay $17 each year or so instead of $400+ for a water heater?

Fits our standard small trailer water heater. Installation was easy.

This was purchased to use in my 2018 Scamp 16 travel trailer. I did not realize an anode rod is NOT needed in a Scamp (IF) the hot water heater is an Atwood brand, they DO NOT use an anode rod because the inside of their tanks is made of different materials. If the hot water heater is the Suburan brand, they DO use an anode rod. (This information is directly from the Scamp service department).

Fit exactly as needed and replaced a well-used zinc anode about to break. Some teflon (plumbers) tape on the threads and I packed the inside of my 1- 1/16 socket with some paper to allow me to push the head of the rod into the hole and get it to thread on. Otherwise the top of the rod slid too far into the socket to tap the threads. Glad to have this always working to save my RV hot water tank!

An RV salesman told me a few years ago that the Atwood doesnt need an Anode rod because the tank is glass lined. HE WAS WRONG. Sprung a leak in the nipple end of the tank at the water connection. The tank is glass lined but not the water connection part of the tank. Ate holes right through the nipple end.

This is the best price! I use it to add life to my water heater, hard water eats the rod, not the inside of your water heater

No one knows you have to replace these twice a year in a RV or trailer but super important! So easy to change it yourself. Order one before you need it!
