I admit that I was resistant to buying a $30 metal comb for a dog. I probably wouldn’t buy a $30 metal comb for myself. It doesn’t look like it would provide a comfortable grooming session at all. Boy was I wrong! Well worth the money if you have a breed prone to mats that needs regular grooming. We use this morning and evening and our Shih Tzu Bichon mix actually falls asleep while I’m combing him. A comb works much better than any brush for daily detangling. Everyone who touches him comments how silky he feels and says how hard it must be to keep him looking so good. It really isn’t. A few minutes twice a day with this comb, good quality shampoo and conditioner, and it’s a breeze.

My dog hates to get brushed but this seems to do the truck.

Tiny comb! Only 4 1/2 in long. Would have given it four stars if it would have been a bit bigger. Works great on cats and dogs heads. Wish it would have been a bit bigger. I have small hands and this is too small to hold and use correctly. Top comb is this one. Second is a regular sized comb.

I use this on our wavy coated dog. Works great and helps to separate the hair before it mats. The comb has rounded teeth and tip, so more comfortable for dog. When I tried cheaper versions, dog was uncomfortable compared to using this comb. Using it for 7 yrs and just bought replacement.

I love it. I am learning to groom my poodles and this comb was recommended by a professional groomer that I follow, especially in final prep for using shears or clippers. I have bought several combs with a more comfortable handle, but they didn’t get small tangles out. You get 2 different width of teeth one one comb and it does seem to glide through easier at the end.

This comb looks nearly identical to my other combs, but its not. Its fantastic! It works much, much better. Have a 3 yr old long haired Samoyed dog who grows giants mats on her head every night. Its always even a long unpleasant battle to remove the mats. But not now. The Chris Christensen comb gets through the fur & breaks up the mats very quickly. I highly recommend.

I have three combs by Chris Christensen. Its expensive, but well worth it and durable. It has a nice weight to it. This buttercomb I use first to comb out larger tangles in my Shih Tzus fur. Then I use 006 buttercomb to get the smaller tangles and his face. And finally, I use the tail buttercomb to do his topknot. All are great quality by Chris Christensen.

Glides through the fur. I have numerous other combs but this is my favorite.
