The metal extruder came with a slightly longer tension spring which caused the filament to become wavy and cause problems down the line. It was almost not noticeable but the printer kept making a clicking sound. So, I just took the original tensioner sprig and put it on the metal one. This could be an uncommon problem, but I hope it saves someone else some Troubleshooting time.

Plenty of reviews here, but I thought I would break it down in numbers. The standard complaint of the m3x18 screw being short is correct. You need an m3x20. The difference is 3/4 of a penny.. despite hundreds of complaints, they still send the same short screw. Everything you need to know about this company can be summed up by screwing over customers over 3/4 of a penny.

Great upgrade for the e series printers. One note is to make sure that the screw for the lever is snug but not over snug as it may cause the extruder to bind too much and not allow to filiment to progress thru as needed

Im so glad I changed this. It helped me out a lot with printing. It was easy to instal. The springs also helped me with leveling my bed much easier. I leveled it yesterday, AC was on and off, and completed 3 prints. The bed is still leveled, which is perfect.

I installed this on my CR10 Mini and it made such a difference. My printer came stock with a plastic version of the same thing. The main difference is the cap under the spring that allows you to adjust the tension. I was having an issue where the extruder bearing was slipping; this didnt ruin prints but definitely caused some extrusion problems. I tried some other extruder parts from Thingiverse that others had created but they didnt quite cut it. After I installed this, I was able to eliminate my problem and my print quality significantly improved. Its such a cheap upgrade and SO worth doing. This and some Capricorn PTFE tubing. Just do it. Edit: Ive had this on my CR10 Mini for close to a year now and havent had any issues with it. I print using PLA and PETG most of the time, so I cant speak to how well it handles flexible filaments.

Doesnt work with all ender 3 pro models. Didnt realize it until I had completely taken it apart and got to the final part of assembling.

The print quality is good, although with the extruder upgrade, the tubing for the filament is constantly being sucked into the grub motor.
