> 3 dayMultiple attempts at connecting to my Orbi router failed. It did connect with my Xfinity router easily. This is a problem since I am planning to get rid of the Xfinity router.

> 3 dayWe used this item to power some string lights on our patio. After a normal Chicago summer, the item stopped functioning. I tried to file a warranty claim with D-Link but they require you to pay the cost of shipping. Given elevated costs, it doesnt make sense to send the item back to California for replacement. D-Link does not stand behind their products and thats unfortunate because the quality of the products is awful.

> 3 dayIt’s clear that the 1 star reviews are written by those that do not understand smart home devices. This device appears well built and connects to the wifi alexa ecosystem flawlessly.

> 3 dayPurchased this cause it said it was weatherproof, but every time it rains just a little my lights stop working. If I find out it’s not this plug which is causing the outage I will change my review.

30-03-2025I was so disappointed to get this and see I have to download another app when there is a very universal and productive app across vendors that uses an open way to access your plugins, Smart Life. Needless to say, I will be returning this product. If you want 40 different apps to control your home automation and dont care, it is probably a good product. For me, this product is useless and cumbersome to manage.

> 3 dayGood little unit for outdoors. I actually made a little mount for this so it is attached to the underside of my patio sectional side table, and provides a USB outlet for phone charging. This was the only unit like this that I could find that had a built in USB port. On that note, it charges really well with a 2 amp output. One downside is that the WiFi automation is pretty much locked down to D-Links proprietary mobile app, so it wont work with my Vera home automation box...Not a big deal as thats not the reason I bought it anyway. Have yet to see how it holds up in a 110 degree AZ summer.
