This is a very useful multi-purpose timer. It is perfect for controlling Christmas light with the easily set schedule program. This is also perfect for controlling indoor light when the user if out of the house. The dual AC outlets are individually controlled with their own schedule. These can control lights at different part of the house. The only drawback is that the schedule can not be randomized (meaning shift in schedule for different day). This can be corrected by manually change the schedule via the internet connection and remotely modify the schedule. Otherwise, it is an excellent timer/controller.

Overall, Im happy with the product. It is well built and works as described. I had no issues connecting it to my home network and controlling it via the app. My only issue is programming schedules with the app. I can program individual schedules for each receptacle, but can only run one schedule at a time. Maybe its operator error, but I havent figured out how to do it yet. Other than that, Im happy with my purchase.

Very disappointed that this device is unable to be programmed to have a routine of turning off or on based upon daylight and sunset (from web link, not photocell). The Meross outdoor outlet has the capability and Im going to buy more of those. Also, the programming interface is not intuitive. Its very confusing, even after watching the YouTube videos on how to program. For example, Automations is impossible to do anything with. I recommend you buy a different smart plug that is much more user friendly.

Seems to be working just fine. Has already been rained on, too.

Multiple attempts at connecting to my Orbi router failed. It did connect with my Xfinity router easily. This is a problem since I am planning to get rid of the Xfinity router.

Weve been very happy with the plug. Weve had it a couple months and its stood up to some major rain. It was easy to set up and integrate with our other smart devices.

This plug can only be programmed to work on a same day 24 hr schedule. You can not schedule it to turn on at 5pm one day & off at 1am ( night hours) the following morning. That’s as stupid a programming failure I have yet to encounter with any outdoor smart plug. Given the price - its criminal. I highly recommend any other outdoor wifi plug/outlet but this one.

These outlets were very easy to install. I appreciate that the unit can be given a name and then each plug can be given its own name, too. To connect it to Alexa was not intuitive, but it is simple. It took a little bit to figure out how, but it you simply install the mydlink skill, and go through the steps there. Easy peazy. The unit is rugged, and there are covers on the outlets for when they’re not in use. The included USB port is nifty. It is always on and cannot be controlled via app or Alexa or anything else, but it is still nice. The outlets can also be Turned on or off by physically pushing a button on the top of the plug, which is great. There are small LED lights to indicate when the power is onto the unit and when it is on for each plug.

We used this item to power some string lights on our patio. After a normal Chicago summer, the item stopped functioning. I tried to file a warranty claim with D-Link but they require you to pay the cost of shipping. Given elevated costs, it doesnt make sense to send the item back to California for replacement. D-Link does not stand behind their products and thats unfortunate because the quality of the products is awful.
