Good Smartplug...Ok App... while this will make some great plug for outdoor lights or items you want to turn on and off on schedule or when you are not home, the app itself, well, a bit to desire...but as always, you can just use alexa and most issues are fixed.

I liked the Alexa to stay connected at any time . Draw back was usb connection - would not work . Huge draw back and dislike. Otherwise ok. It’s pricey for what it does

Never could get device to work with my network. Off brand plugs work much better.

Reliable plug. Has stayed connected unlike some others. Good integration with Alexa.

After changing my wifi, this switch was never able to connect to the new wifi. Reset didnt work and nothing written online worked. I purchased another brand and quickly realized even when this device worked, it had a significant lag compared to the new ones. Not sure if they use inferior antenna? Overall you can buy better switch on Amazon for a cheaper price.

Loved this product. Saved me going out 20 degree weather to turn off Christmas lights. Just turned them on and off right from my phone. And all you have to do is download the app and easy set up.

Ive been into home automation since the X10 days. In the last house that I go going, I set it all up with Zwave. The only real downside of Zwave (IMO), is range. Yes, Zwave+ and the fact that its a mesh network help mitigate that somewhat. However, I started working on another house. Without many devices, Zwave doesnt work nearly as well. So, when it was time to automate some outdoor lights, I decided to go with the D-Link Wi-Fi Smart Outdoor Plug with 2 Outlets and 1 USB Port (DSP-W320-US Black). Ive used D-Link networking equipment for almost two decades, so Im pretty confident in using anything with their name on it. The DSP-W320-US is a solidly built unit with an IP54 rating. I think its appropriate to have in a semi-sheltered area, and I have mine in a screened porch. The dust caps are pretty decent, and dont feel like theyll break off before their time. Setup is super easy. I downloaded the D-Link app from the Google Play store, and have included a couple screenshots of the process. You have to create a D-Link account, but everything is straightforward after that. Basic functionality in the app is easy to use. Setting schedules in the app isnt super intuitive, but thats not really how I used this, anyway. You can OAuth your D-Link account straight to your Alexa account, but thats not what I elected to do. Instead, I linked my D-Link account to IFTTT, so I could use it from my HomeSeer (without having to get a plugin). Im sure either works just fine. In terms of the device, I havent had any issues. I wasnt sure how good the 2.4Ghz reception would be, with a tiny integrated antenna, but its actually quite good. Thats kind of remarkable, though, since youre talking about a SoC, a radio, and some relays. Its not unusual to have to at least cycle the power every once in a while. The D-Link hasnt required any of that in weeks of operation. Outstanding! There are plenty of no-name devices on the market that will do what the D-Link does, but the Alexa and IFTTT integration adds a ton of value for me. Highly recommended.
