> 3 dayA nice enough intro to the guitar, with guides on how to string and tune your guitar (has a guitar tuner option, if your PC has a microphone), some 80 lessons on playing simple chords, various strumming styles and chord progressions. An animated fretboard demonstrates the fingering and there are also a number of videos that demonstrate various aspects of the lessons being taught. Theres also a digital metronome and recording option so you can record and playback your newly acquired guitar prowess. There are some 40 or so songs to learn as you go along.

Greater than one weekThis is a really simple program to tell you the absolute basics of guitar. It goes through holding, strumming, simple chords, and has songs to help you learn the whole way through. I dont know if its worth 25 bucks, but if your looking to learn the basics before going out and paying for lessons this is a good way to do it.

> 3 dayI bought this to help my son learn to play the guitar. The CD doesnt work - cant even get it to come up on my computer. I insert it into the disc drive and nothing happens. I contacted the company directly and received NO response. Very disappointed in this purchase.

> 3 dayId never picked up a guitar before this CD course, but had always fancied giving it a go, but where to start? I borrowed my Dads guitar, put in this CD and I can hardly believe how easy it is to get started and keep learning. The videos and diagrams are great and the pacing is just right - you can genuinely start from scratch and be accompanying a song in minutes, but the lessons always keep pushing you to learn more and keep improving. Being able to follow your progress on the screen is much better than trying to learn from a book and getting lost.
