eMedia Guitar For Dummies

I found this to be a so-so tutor for playing the guitar. It seems to me there are lots of better books that do this job let alone a computer programme. It makes minimal use of the interactive medium and I am afraid it left me rather underwhelmed. Dummies guides are usually so much better than this.

Being a beginner at playing the guitar and not able to afford personal guitar lessons, I looked to find whatever alternative help was available. I have found this product very helpful in the many phases of guitar playing.

First disc was defective. Amazon quickly sent a replacement.

Found this a great way to pick up and start playing from the very start. Next stop is the big time..

Got this as a Christmas present. When opened, it had the wrong CD. Had to order replacement and return the first one.

Its been about 12 years since I first learnt to play the guitar and Ive been trying to rekindle my interest in it for about a year now. During that time Ive tried a couple of PC tutorials, a DVD and even the Guitar for Dummies book but have had very little success. The main problems were always the same - first, they offered poor tuning information or software, leaving the chords sounding horribly wrong; and second they either went too quickly, assuming a good level of knowledge, or just didnt engage you very much in wanting to learn.

This is the same package I purchased five years ago. It will not work with windows 10 as advertised. I will need to return this item.

You like this so much you will have sore fingers. It might be a Dummy book, however it does get the strings some exercise and good tones ringing in our ears. This might be the start of a good relationship with music and one of the free joys we can experience. You will not believe how creative you are until you have this experience.
