> 3 dayIts been about 12 years since I first learnt to play the guitar and Ive been trying to rekindle my interest in it for about a year now. During that time Ive tried a couple of PC tutorials, a DVD and even the Guitar for Dummies book but have had very little success. The main problems were always the same - first, they offered poor tuning information or software, leaving the chords sounding horribly wrong; and second they either went too quickly, assuming a good level of knowledge, or just didnt engage you very much in wanting to learn.

> 3 dayThis is the same package I purchased five years ago. It will not work with windows 10 as advertised. I will need to return this item.

> 3 dayI am not impressed with this product its not very good looks like the cd was made by an amateur & is not very helpful to a beginner, it would have been a bit better if it had a book to go with it instead of a poor cd in a large half empty box.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband, who is learning to play the guitar; and, managed to lose the CD provided with the original Guitar for Dummies book. He didnt even want to open the package because then you cant send it back and because he is not very computer savvy. Long story short: the first lesson convinced him this is the way to learn. Chords are clearly presented, played so finger position is displayed and then chords are used in a song. Computer savvy is obviously not a necessary ingredient! Presents the basics in an easy, interesting and musical way. Now I have to wait (interminably) to use the computer.

Greater than one weekThis was a terrible product your better off buying rock smith cause this only taught me how to read tabs and thats it.... I couldve looked that up online....If you want a good tool to learn guitar Rocksmith is the way to go...if you have a game console that is.

15-04-2025I found this to be a so-so tutor for playing the guitar. It seems to me there are lots of better books that do this job let alone a computer programme. It makes minimal use of the interactive medium and I am afraid it left me rather underwhelmed. Dummies guides are usually so much better than this.

Greater than one weekAs a guitarist of 16 years who learnt before the event of fancy media and the internet, these products hold a certain fascination for me!
