I used one of these smart outlets in my laundry room to control a heater remotely, as I was going to be away for 3 weeks. To my surprise, when I got home, I realized the laundry room was not getting warm, even though I had the smart outlet on. Well, while the outlet showed as on in the app, there was no voltage coming out of the smart outlet. I tried the other smart outlets and some had the some problem and others had problems connecting to the WiFi. I emailed the company for help, but no responses.

I have many smart devices and purchased this set of four smart outlets for additional home security by turning lights on and off to make it appear someone is home. They worked fine for about a month but now the app reports problems with internet access or failures to respond almost daily. I have updated the app and the devices. I have reset all of them then reprogrammed them but still have problems. These use the Smart Life app and are the only smart devices I own that use it. I also have smart devices that use the eWeLink and SmartThings apps which all perform flawlessly. I cannot determine if the fault is with the app or the devices. For now, they are used only in non-critical applications and will soon be tossed if the errors persist.

If your having trouble getting this on your Wi-Fi just go in and hit manual and do ap install. So easy that forces it on your 2.4 channel. These work great with google nest.

purchased these before leaving my home for vacation, so that I could set-up away lighting in every room with my amazon alexa. So easy to install and extremely affordable. i would recommend having a few of these on hand around the house for a number of reasons!

Once I used the app and set the plugs up, Alexa took over. I loved them over Christmas for the decorations, and now use them throughout the house for convenience and when I am gone.

Easy to setup, easy to move around as you need for seasonal control of outlets without the trouble of replacing each outlet, especially when you don’t want both plugs in the outlet controlled. If that is what you desire I don’t believe 2 of these will fit in the same outlet so you’ll probably need to replace the outlet with a WiFi outlet. I used mine to control indoor Christmas lights on my tree, mantle, and above my upper cabinets that connected to my over the range microwave. I couldn’t reach the outlet without a step stool so that is where these really came in handy.

Work great! They took me a while to figure out how to connect at the beginning but once I got them connected, they work wonderfully!
