Generally really like this. Unfortunately, the ability to set the area surveilled is not great. We have the doorbell also and it has a very easily manipulated coverage area. This one is much more limited. The best feature, however, is that it is unlike Ring that has facial recognition. Privacy is important. Last comment, it is great that you can add additional cameras over time.

THe idea of this camera is great - a completely wireless security camera that you can install in a minute. It is easy to get down and charge, and we like that we can move it around the yard and watch whatever we want. There are so many flaws in its software though, that it ruins anything good about it. Basically, you cannot point this camera anywhere it will see a street, sidewalk or any other public space, unless you want be informed of every car, pedestrian, animal or moving tree. 1. By design, this camera only records when it senses motion. This is so that the battery is not exhausted in a few hours if it was constantly recording. However the motion detection software is so bad on this that it renders the camera almost useless, read on: 2. The common option from most cameras to start recording a few seconds before motion is detected (Its common, I promise) does not exist on this camera, and there is a 1-2 second delay after the motion happens before the recording starts... which usually makes your recordings useless. 3. Once you turn the motion security light feature on, you it does not go off, even after you turn off the feature. It is a known bug and they have not fixed it in months that I have been using this camera. So now, every time it sees something it turns bright lights on, even though I have that feature disabled. Not only does it waste battery, but it signals to intruders where your cameras are and really isnt needed anyway. 4. There is an option, like on many cameras to create zones on the video where you dont want motion to trigger the camera. They dont work at all. Regardless of the zones any motion excluded still triggers the camera. Its a known issue to the community and widespread. 5. You can specify in the settings whether to detect All motion or Humans only. It doesnt work at all. Even when its set to Humans Only, shadows, cars, bugs, lightning, animals, trees moving in the wind all set it off anyway. 6. There seems to be no effect of the 7 level motion sensitivity setting. 1 is the same as 7 and everything in between. Now, to make all of this worse, in order to be a useful security camera, it sends a notification to your smartphone when it senses motion. Which in this case is about 100 times per hour on the front of our house. In addition to the motion-detecting issues outlined above, theres a couple other issues: Theres a bug in the software where you get a notification of motion and when you tap the notification its supposed to take you to the app and show you the recording of the subject. Well most of the time it just plays the same old clip from days ago every time. You have to then go navigate to the event page and find the latest recording. Theres also frequent connection issues while watching live video. I can be sitting right next to the router and base station and it will still lose connection and take forever to reconnect. All of these issues completely ruin any usefulness for me. If I havent had it 4 months now, I would probably return it because $130 is extremely overpriced for this low level of quality.

I installed seven Eufy 2C Pro cameras to the Eufy Wire-Free 2K Controller to completely cover the external portions of our property. The controller and cameras were very easy to install and program to the controller. NO WIRES! Great sensitivity to motion (adjustable to your preference) and excellent picture quality. Each camera has a microphone and speaker for iPhone communication to person seen on camera. iPhone installation App has a signal strength meter and active camera video that makes it easy to decide where you want to mount the cameras. Rechargeable batteries advertised to last 180-days if you dont activate the spot light feature for night video. Eufy cameras videos are good quality so I didnt activate the spot lights. Be sure you get the 2C Pro 2K units!

Apparently homebase 2 which this device connects to has a defect direct from the factory. Dont expect to get it replaced after a year. Homebase 2 restarts over and over, Apparently its not an isolated incident. Wish I could return this but its too late. Thanks for your information. According to your information, I am sorry to say your Homebase is defective. Sorry for all the inconvenience it caused to you. Unfortunately, your order expired its 12-month warranty on May 9th, 2021. Since this order is already outside the warranty period, Im afraid an exchange is not possible.

We have 5 of these cameras at home, absolutely love them. We can talk to our dogs while we are away, superb night vision and motion detention. When we go on vacation we feel comfortable leaving our home because all the notifications go straight to our phone. Suggested them to all my family members, everyone should have at least one in their home.

Before you invest in THIS non security system Do Your Research, Eufy has lied and got caught. Do Not Trust Eufy. after getting caught with false advertising and security flaws they admitted to security flaws and just changed there wording admitting they got caught.

Excellent Security camera, especially when paired up with the Eufy Solar panel (Pictured sunny Florida sky. Using it to keep a watchful eye in the backyard and its been doing an excellent job. Excellent video quality, good set of AI detection features, good size and build. All around worth while product! Thinking about purchasing a second one to use in the garage with its useful spotlight. Notes: Does require a Homebase 2which is where the footage is saved, the memory is sadly not expandable and if the power goes out it wont save the footage (even thought the camera is battery powered unless you have a UPS or other power backup for the hub/base (e.g. the Backup battery for Homebase2 battery backup. Also, Footage is slow to pull up on Google Home devices (Nest Hub, Chromecast etc.)
