Fixcracked for Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly Ipad Air 1st + WiFi Antenna Cable and Professional Tool Kit (White)

My daughter dropped her IPad last year. The screen was shattered but still worked. We were told it would cost $150 to replace the screen by someone else, or we replace the iPad altogether. We considered getting a new one until I found this product. My husband and I aren’t technically savvy or have the experience in fixing electronics, but we were able to replace the screen. It took about two hrs, mainly because the old screen was such a mess. Then when it came to put the new screen on there wasn’t directions, so we YouTubed how and found what we needed. I think my husband was second guessing the steps to reattach the connectors, but the new screen is on. I have a happy daughter. Definitely worth the try to save the money. Only negative which isn’t really the company’s fault is I thought I ordered a black screen but I got a white. So now she was a white screen with a space gray IPad. No biggie though.

Comes with everything you need for the job and fits perfectly. My go to when replacing a screen.

Came damaged with glue stains on the screen

Nice kit but the home button is junk. It slipped under the screen and stopped working.

Just what I needed watched a couple of YouTube videos on the process made the swap no problem. The home button does feel a bit cheaper than the original.

Works like the original one

Quality product and tools. Love the magnetic screw driver, pry tool, and tweezers. The only thing that was missing was adhesive 2 sided tape/strips. The lack of adhesive tape is the ONLY reason Im not giving 5 stars. The screen did have some very weak adhesive preapplied but thankfully I had some extra adhesive left over from another project. Tips: Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the edges of the screen you are removing. This makes the project much easier. Make sure you dont touch the LCD screen with you fingers. Cleaning the LCD before assembly is very important even if you dont touch it. Before gluing the glass screen in place power on the unit. 2 reasons. To make sure everything still works, and to make sure the LCD is completely clean. If the unit will not power up try disconnecting the battery and reseating it then try to power up again.

Not happy at all. Adhesive is not holding the digitizer properly on right side. Ordered another screen digitizer from different vendor.

It didnt close all the way speciall at the screen bands and started to open up in few minutes later

While overall the screen is okay and the tools, pre-applied adhesive, and extra parts were welcome, the home button has major issues. This is the second replacement screen I purchased from these guys and both times the home button got pushed in and jammed (within a matter of hours of first use). From there it is just endless fidgeting to get the home button to press. Avoid purchasing from this vendor if you need your home button to work.
