> 3 dayI dropped my iPad face down on the concrete from chair height. The sound of a shattering screen is a sickening sound. A thousand shards of glass replaced my faithful four year old iPad screen. Yuck. Found this on Amazon for a fair price and thought it worth a try. It includes some basic necessary tools and the WiFi/Bluetooth antenna in case you make a mistake disassembling your iPad. Mine arrived well packaged, clean and in great condition. There is protective film is on the digitizer screen. Adhesive strips are pre-applied (not all are.) I was pleasantly surprised to find clear (although in small print) instructions. Since my screen was a shattered mess, the removal process was not straightforward. Using a heat gun and a lot of careful, patient time I was able to remove all the broken glass and adhesive. I would suggest watching some videos to get more instructions to remove the cable connections for the home button, digitizer, and LCD panel. But if you take your time, youll do fine. After I got all the cables reinserted, I did a dry-fit test before removing the adhesive strips. Im glad I did, because the home button didnt work. Turns out, I may have messed up the contacts on the home button cable. So, I carefully removed and reused the old cable. Then, I carefully set the plastic trim piece in place and then the screen. The iPad powered up and worked perfectly. I dont see any lines or flaws in the screen. Nor have I had any problems with the home button. Input touches seemed little sensitive at first, but after a few minutes the tap sensitivity is as good as new Thankfully, my mistake only cost me about $20 and a few hours. Good luck with your repair.

> 3 dayRepaired my Ipad 4 32gb LTE. Good as new! Pre-applied adhesive was helpful but the tape could have better adhesion. Otherwise it works great.

> 3 dayEasy to replace. Replaced old screen easy enough with tools that came with the kit. However after one month of use, the tape started to peel off making the digitizer erratic. Will be purchasing another one, from FixCracked, maybe the tape was bad, or maybe I didnt clean the old mount good enough.

> 3 dayI want to start off with a process I hate doing and thats getting a replacement. In the past, Id have to wait to send my old screen back first or place another order that would later be refunded back after the screen arrived at their facility. I had to order a replacement due to my digitizer not working; this turned out to be a larger flex cable. I didnt have to ship the old digitizer back and the seller took care of me without asking any questions and no weeks long have you tried this communications. The flex cables are better than others. They arent flimsy as other brands I have used in the past making installing the home button cable a bit easier. The screen mounted flush for me which was another first. Some Ive used in the past are a bit higher than I expected. You dont notice it as much due to having the black face plate on the iPads Ive fixed. Another great aspect is the screen they use. There is no dot matrix affect that Ive seen. This could be from the digitzer or the screen protector but after using this unit, I didnt have it and youll notice the clarity difference right off the bat. Next, I want to cover is the home button. It is a bit stiffer than others but it like the screen lies flush. Other cheaper units tend to go down a bit more than stock so you feel more of the home button ring than normal. That wasnt the case. The screens movement tracking is better than others, I think so at least. It doesnt lag at all from what I could tell and no dead zone spots either. My children who use the iPad have had no complaints. Other units, theyd get mad from dead zones or laggy response. For another $3-10 dollars you might spend, Id recommend getting this over going for the cheapest possible. I wish I got this screen replacement in the past. Hope my review helps you out as Ive done a numerous repairs for friends and family and this unit is the most frustration free one Ive dealt with.
