Ipad 4 screen replacement. Nice tool set included. Only negative, reassembly instructions appeared missing. Note: I was unsuccessful in the screen replacement implementation. Was not the products fault. This job is not for the faint of heart. Should best be left to a professional.

Update after a few months... The screen did fit good, and the replacement was pretty simple. After a few weeks the screen was loose because the adhesive strips were not very good. After a few months, the digitizer screen started going crazy. My iPad is used very little, but now it is virtually useless again because the screen randomly opens apps types crazy stuff, basically it’s like a bunch of fingers on your iPad at the same time. I’d recommend finding something better. Overall, the screen was great. It was pretaped, included the home button, and fit perfectly. The only thing I had trouble with is getting the ribbon cables plugged in far enough. Although, this was no fault to the screen itself. I would recommend testing the unit before removing the tape on the screen. In addition, if I were to do it again, I would order batteries with the screen. Once my iPad was apart, I found that the batteries were swollen. The batteries were pushing against the screen, which caused the original crack in the scree.

So for $20 I can’t see why I can’t recommend this product. My 2 year old dropped his iPad (my old 4th gen) and this saved $300. Don’t even bother with the instructions. It’s detailed but it’s printed so small I have up. Just search YouTube and you will even find videos from FixCracked. Took me about 3 hours but most of the time was spent taking off the broken glass. My wife blow dryer died half way through it so it made my life a little more difficult. Once the glass is off, it’s pretty easy. Just remember to wear gloves and have patience. Let’s see how long it last

Well after 6 hours of working with this replacement kit... it worked! Take your time. As I was removing shards of glass I unfortunately broke the WiFi implement, good thing this kit has a replacement. But that WiFi replacement process adds a bit of time. Take your time with a heat gun to help remove the glass. I ended up cutting my fingers with shards so it is better to wear gloves. I also thought the tools were very helpful. Tip: mark down where the screws go. I wasted an hour playing roulette to see which screw goes where. And I was very happy it also came with the home button ribbon and part. There were some helpful videos on YouTube via iCracked, it is 50 min long. I also watch a video showing detail on WiFi replacement via Fixez.com, it is 7 min long. Once everything is back in place I laid it on top of cushioned shipping package, face down with 10lbs of books on top overnite. Hope it continues working for some time! Much better than buying a new iPad or paying a store $129 to fix it.

There are a lot of products to buy, but this one is quality. This one comes with detailed direction, quality tools (not junk like the other brands), and all the prices you need so you don’t have to reuse parts. You won’t be disappointed!

I want to start off with a process I hate doing and thats getting a replacement. In the past, Id have to wait to send my old screen back first or place another order that would later be refunded back after the screen arrived at their facility. I had to order a replacement due to my digitizer not working; this turned out to be a larger flex cable. I didnt have to ship the old digitizer back and the seller took care of me without asking any questions and no weeks long have you tried this communications. The flex cables are better than others. They arent flimsy as other brands I have used in the past making installing the home button cable a bit easier. The screen mounted flush for me which was another first. Some Ive used in the past are a bit higher than I expected. You dont notice it as much due to having the black face plate on the iPads Ive fixed. Another great aspect is the screen they use. There is no dot matrix affect that Ive seen. This could be from the digitzer or the screen protector but after using this unit, I didnt have it and youll notice the clarity difference right off the bat. Next, I want to cover is the home button. It is a bit stiffer than others but it like the screen lies flush. Other cheaper units tend to go down a bit more than stock so you feel more of the home button ring than normal. That wasnt the case. The screens movement tracking is better than others, I think so at least. It doesnt lag at all from what I could tell and no dead zone spots either. My children who use the iPad have had no complaints. Other units, theyd get mad from dead zones or laggy response. For another $3-10 dollars you might spend, Id recommend getting this over going for the cheapest possible. I wish I got this screen replacement in the past. Hope my review helps you out as Ive done a numerous repairs for friends and family and this unit is the most frustration free one Ive dealt with.

This was very easy to install, I received my screen at my door and it was repaired within 45 minutes. This was a great value, a button, screen, and antenna replacement. All delivered very fast and the tools that came for the installation were metal and I can re use them. The tweezers i can use for other electronic repairs. Thanks!
