> 3 dayFor me, Freud router bits have always been durable and well made - well worth the price. This bit is no exception.

Greater than one weekWhen used properly at the correct speed and depth of cut it created a butter smooth edge on my Padauk desk top with no burning, chatter, or chipping.

> 3 dayNot like the picture! The picture shows a bit with matching diameter shank AND bearing (1/2). What you get is a 1/2 shank bit, mated with a ridiculously tiny 3/8 bearing. Bearing only has about 3/32 of vertical stock-riding surface, and sits about 1/8 above the flutes. So, youre flirting with disaster if the remaining stock is 1/4 or less below the flutes, youre likely to get more chatter/bumps due to the tiny bearing, and youre likely to get a groove burnished into the edge of the work (especially with softer woods) from the miniscule bearing-contact patch. All of which couldve been avoided if the bit were made to accept a 1/2 bearing of decent width. Because the top of the flutes are ground to fit the 3/8 bearing diameter, If you try to fit a 1/2 bearing to the bit, it lowers the initial contact point on the flutes to about 3/16 below the bearing. The only 1/2 shank, 1/2 bearing, 45 degree chamfer option Freud has necessitates a 2 1/2 throat diameter. I own a lot of Freud products, very disappointed with this one. Come on Freud, make it like the picture, WITH A 1/2 BEARING, sitting 1/32-1/16 above the flutes!

> 3 dayUsed it on a project that had no margin for grabby cutters. Surface is glassy smooth. It worked very nice.

> 3 dayI have an ever growing collection of Freud bits, blades and tools and as always, this one is awesome. I am making all my trim in my house out of black ash and Im using this bit for the edges. It is the first chamfer bit that ive used that didnt burn at all on end grain.

> 3 dayThis bit is exactly what I needed to create a 15 degree angle for making my Adirondack chairs. It’s much easier than using a jigsaw!!

> 3 dayPerformed as expected; due to its size, it has a lot of in-between potential for different applications and different sizes of woods.
