Freud 40-114: 1-5/8 (Dia.) Chamfer Bit

Can you go wrong with a Freud router bit?

needed for a job.

Worked beautifully to edge a hundred feet or so of solid wood countertop at 16,000 rpm using a PC 3.5 hp router. Did not require sanding afterward. Even under magnification I could not see any ripples. Only criticism I have is that the bearing seems small and did leave a slight impression along the face of the work, though that may have been because of the mass of the router.

Its what I needed.

As of 8/12/22, Amazon listing indicates bit is made in China. Bit I received today is marked as made in Italy.

So far Ive routed 60 linear feet of pressure treated pine. It got a bit gummed up from the soft/wet wood, but after a good cleaning with simple green, this thing is back to operating like brand new! Freud is the way to go...

Brought for son in law one Christmas and have not heard any complaints.

Cant beat Freud sharpness!

I only work with hardwoods and this blades cuts over and over a very clean cut
