Funko Pop! Advent Calendar: Marvel - Holiday, Multicolor, One Size

I usually love getting these advent calendars from Funko but I’m not sure if it was mistakes or if the duplicates were deliberate. Because the others of the gingerbread characters were the diamond variety and there is at least one other Groot Christmas version that could have been used. Overall loved it but not completely happy with it. Edit: I reached out to Funko and was told the Ironman and Thor were the glow ones. Still not entirely happy but I always enjoy these.

Some of the characters were in the calendar more than once which was they only negative for my son. Otherwise he loved it.

Day 13 and already 2 almost duplicated figures. Captain Snowman and same exact figure with glitter and Christmas tree Groot one with solid yellow Star and other with partially transparent Star. And on top of that there is already a third groot and besides ugly sweater Thanos every other figure is gingerbread version of a character. I love that they are Christmas themed but there is no excuse for the duplicates or the lack of variety. Hope the rest is better. Well finished out with 7 duplicates and only like 12 characters

This is really quite adorable. The figured are behind little doors and also wrapped in plastic so you cant tell what they are. Were on day 12 and so far only two repeats: two baby Groot but theyre different, but two captain America snowmen. Theyre exactly the same but one is glittery. Either way my teenage son loves them. Only complaint is many of them are unable to stand on their own. Wish they were made with either a stand they can sit on, or flat feet and not top heavy. But quality is great and theyre really adorable! Edit: day 13 and theres no figurine. The box is empty. My son joked that it was the invisible man but for the money spent, I didnt think it was funny to have an empty box. Update:. Day 13 ended up not missing, the figure somehow had fallen into a later day. We had hoped for a really awesome last figure but it turned out to be a repeat of a figure we already got. In all there were three direct repeats and a couple that were the same but just with glitter. Would prefer each day to be a unique character. With multiple Groot figures and one Rocket, we were surprised there was no Star Lord. Also no Wolverine. Would have loved multiple Spider Man in different poses, outfits,etc. Overall though very happy with it.

We have been enjoying opening this with my 5 year old son everyday, but for the price their are too many duplicate figures. He is a little disappointed every time it happens. It would be perfect aside from that!

I was so excited to have some Christmas marvel decor. I really liked this advent calendar but there were quite a few repeats/duplicates. My whole family got into opening them each day and the duplicates were just disappointing. Still a great deal though!!!

I purchased these to turn them into Christmas tree ornaments. There were only 18 that made it to my tree. 3 of them had glitter. I don’t do glitter. The other 3 were duplicates of others. That sucks. There should be no duplicates. However, the price is so worth it compared to buying 24 at full price. Beware of a seller on Etsy. She is gutting these advent calendars and adding keychain hardware on them then she calls them “CUSTOMIZED.” I screwed an eyelet into the head and added an ornament hanger. She did the same thing. Screw in an eyelet, add a chain, and add a split ring. Boo.

It was fun opening a new marvel hero every day until I started getting duplicates. But overall the non gingerbread FUNCOs were really cool.

This is a cute idea but we were disappointed by two things. First, way too many duplicates or figures that look like another day but they just added glitter. I’ve done other figurine advent calendars and never got a dupe. There is enough character variety in the MCU that dupes aren’t necessary unless the designers just got lazy. Second, half the figures are so top heavy they can’t stand up in their own. Hard to display these unless you build a stand/lean-to to prop the figures up on. Next year I will be avoiding this style of advent calendar.
