Very easy to use and quickly tell you if you have wired an outlet correctly. a must have tool for every tool box.

This works well, I dont have to find a lamp or toaster to find out if an outlet is getting power. I have another that is just two probes but you have to get them in correctly, mess around for a bit. This thing you just plug in and voila! (or not). I am a novice and a bit afraid of electricity. I can install fixtures, repair lamps, hookup outlets and switches, but nothing more complicated than that. I believe this is essential for homeowners. I recommend.

This tool has helped reinforce the fact that I have no clue what Im doing when it comes to electrical work! This is a must for DYIers like myself. I used this tool to confirm I royally screwed up the grounding for all the outlets in my house when I changed them to 3 prong outlets.

Works good and indications are accurate. My only complaint is the legend (key) of what the lights mean printed on the device cannot be read. The little ovals indicating on/off combinations are impossible to see. You cannot tell if the little oval is indicating on or off unless in bright light with the aid of magnification.

This tester works great. As mentioned in a previous review, it is a little difficult to differentiate between the white and yellow markings on the label, but it isnt too difficult if you are in adequate lighting. The GFCI testing ability also is a nice addition. As a clarification, this is a normal outlet tester that can be used on non-GFCI outlets, but it also has an extra button that adds the ability to test if the GFCI trips when it is supposed to. As one who knows little about electric, this helped me when updated an outside plug with a better weatherproof box. I wanted to make sure the outlet was wired correctly since some other lines in our house arent. I also wanted to test the GFCI tripping. This tool worked great! Hope this was helpful. Works as expected Very simple to use and easy to understand

Love the size, the color (red), ease of use. Easily test any power socket. Talk about plug and play... lol This tester cost so little and provides so much confidence knowing that my home is wired correctly, and that GFCI outlets trip correctly. Quality is top notch as well. Would buy again. Very happy with this tester. Add on item for shipping - still arrived fast - 2 days.
