> 24 hourLove it. Bought it for a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and it surpassed my expectations. It was awesome having all the hiking s trails on wrist(as well as all my music) and tracking my mileage and elevation changes. Was there for some photography so it was definitely nice knowing sunrise.sunset times as well. Used it while snowboarding and noticed that my watch had 20minutes left. Made sure to leave the face exposed to the sun and after a couple hours of riding it had over an hour of battery life left. So that works. Great all around rugged sleek watch

> 24 hourIm a Fenix 5S+ user for more than 3 years. I briefly owned Fenix 6s and returned it because it doesnt support Asian languages. I ordered Fenix 7s sapphire solar next day its announced. Let me elaborate the differences among these generations. Part1. Fenix 7 vs Fenix 5 1. 7 has much longer battery life. Almost three weeks vs 5s one week. This is huge, but I think its mostly from better power management rather than solar charging. I wear it 7/24 and never take it off. I swim three days a week, one hour each time. I time my swim by the watch. For the 5, it often brushes off 10% of the battery by doing so. Now the 7 takes only 4% off the charge 2. 7 is 5.5 grams lighter than 5. See the pictures. This is huge. I can clearly feel the difference on the wrist. Dimensions are almost identical though. 3. 7 now reads respiration rate (breath per minute) and blood oxygen saturation (only manual check) other than heart rate 4. 7 includes all languages. As a contrast, you have to buy 5 or 6 in the country with your desired language. For example, a watch you buy in USA cant read anything written in Chinese. That was absurd. Im glad Garmin realized its 21st century now. 5. 7 comes with touch screen. Although I disable it most of the time. Only chance I feel like needing it is when I view maps. Touch screen does help to zoom in and out and move around. Viewing map on 5 is quite painful if not completely useless. Part2. Fenix 7 vs Fenix 6 To be honest, theres not much of difference between two generations other than 1. 7 has touch screen and 6 doesnt 2. 7 supports most languages and 6 doesnt 3. 7 has a bit more solar charging area than 6 So, if you dont need other language support and dont use map often, go ahead and grab a Fenix 6 instead. It would save you several hundred dollars, even more when its on sale. Part3. A couple of things I expected on 7 but didnt get it 1. wireless charging. Theres no reason to have plug-in charging nowadays. Data transfer isnt the reason. 2. Theres a rumor that band charging is coming with 7. Thatd be a giant step, but it isnt easy. 3. I wish screen contrast would be improved, at least as good as 5. I can feel the white isnt that white and all other colors are faint too except black. As a conclusion, its worth upgrading from Fenix 5, but not so much from 6. Did I mention I returned my first 7? It kept shutting down all sensors. Its usually triggered by starting swim activity. All the sudden, none of sensors would work until you restart the watch. It occurred 3 times out of three weeks. The replacement hasnt had that issue since a month ago.

> 24 hourI have been waiting for this watch for a long time and was happy when it went on sale. Before that, I used the Phoenix 5X for 4 years and was in love with this watch, but the 7X version attracted new features and a touch screen. I finally bought them and was very happy. But soon after the purchase, I discovered a feature that upset me insanely - I have tattoos on my sleeves and you know what? The sensors doent read the heart rate through the black tattoo on my wrists! I didnt understand what was going on, I thought I got damaged product until I found the source of the problem. I do workouts and my activity indicators are very important to me. And now how do I know how many calories I burned during the day if all my data is incorrect?! I set the Strength Training mode during the gym session and the watch does not count the calories I spent! My entire training process is flushed down the toilet because Garmin has updated the optical sensor on the watch. I checked the watches on the hands of my friends who doent have tattoos and they work for them. I read on the Internet and found out that this problem exists in people with dark skin. A large amount of melanin is now a problem! I repeat, everything worked perfectly on the Phoenix 5X. Dont you think it smells like racism? How do I wear this watch now? Do I need to cut out the skin on my wrist for the watch to work on me?

> 24 hourLove the watch ,huge fan of garmin technology buy it seem like a trend when I buy stuff on Amazon, 30% of the time the product is malfunctioning. This watch in particular after about a week, the functions of the left top button has completely disappeared, cant activate the flash light at all and cant turn on the background light to checkout the time while in the dark. Now Ive just ordered the 7x saphire, hopefully Ill have better luck.

> 24 hourFirst, they charge you almost $60 restocking fee for returns. Second, battery life advertising is false. Third, the watch is huge and heavy and not comfortable to carry on your wrist 24/7. Lastly, it’s not as intuitive to use and set/reset as similar watches. All they seem to care about is adding ridiculous functionality that the average person may never use and then charging exorbitantly for them.

> 24 hourFirst off, this isnt a cheap watch, so I was apprehensive about purchasing it. Read a ton of reviews and did a lot of research. This watch is worth every penny. The battery life is unbelievable. You really dont need to charge it for days even weeks depending on usage. The screen is large enough while not being too large. I love the entire Garmin ecosystem. Ive purchased a bunch more sensors for heart rate, biking, etc. The data is accurate including the GPS tracking. Just a great watch.
