> 24 hourThis item was pretty easy to figure out, and easy to install. I wish the app had a way to put the plug in the room or area of your home it is installed in to make it easier to control with Alexa, but thats not extremely important. I can control it, I just have to take a few extra steps. Double sided plug makes it easier to control two devices with one plug. Not great if you only have one thing to control in an area. For example, if you want to use a fan in your bedroom and have nothing else to plug in the socket to control with Alexa, I dont suggest using this socket. Maybe use a lamp or something in the other side. Its wasted with nothing in it.

> 24 hourEasy to setup. Works well when paired with my WiFi. There is about a 1 second delay after turning the switch on, but that isn’t a deal breaker. Good product.

> 24 hourI got really frustrated trying to set up these plugs. I intended to connect them to my Alexa, but the initial HBN app connection was so confusing that Im worried the Alexa set up will be just as painful. I was stuck on one of the first steps because it told me to turn the outlet on with the power button. Not sure why it says that because there is no power button!!! My husband had to step in and figured it out for me, and thank goodness for him. (Instead of a power button, you just hold down one of the front arrow buttons while its plugged in until it flashes blue. At that point, the app should detect the outlet and the setup is straightforward from there) Despite the headache, so far I really like these plugs. Believe it or not, but the painful setup wont deter me from buying more smart products made by HBN.

> 24 hourIt has light indicators if it’s on or off. The apps can control wall plug and extension plug. You can control each plug in the two outlets. App has count down and specify time schedule. It can have many schedule for each plug. You can control many outlets and give it a name to organize. I bought one to start and I have three of them and an outdoor extension. Good price! Support good product and seller!

> 24 hourLove the product and end result but SO frustrating to figure out directions for set up. Needed to use apps and Alexa internet source etc. Finally before giving up completely I found directions on You-Tube which were easily followed. So yes now I can ask Alexa to turn on 2 things whenever I want them one. Works great

> 24 hourThese might be the least complicated smart switches I have ever set up, and they work great. I bought them to control my indoor Christmas lighting, and they work amazing.

> 24 hourOne of the two did not turn on and would not connect to Wi-Fi or anything. Ended up tossing it in the trash. The other one works awesome. I must have gotten a dud. EDIT: I ordered a second pair and these ones worked perfectly. Using them to turn a lizard light and heater on and off. Light during the day, heat at night. Works great.

> 24 hourPerfect for my Christmas decorations around the house. I don’t need to get up to see if I remember to turn all the christmas lights/decorations off. I can control them now on my phone. BUT, I had a hard time installing or pairing it to my phone. Here’s my situation and how I solved it and made it work after an hour. First, make sure your wifi 2.4GHz is on. I have verizon fios and though I have a dual wifi connection, I’ve only been using the 5Ghz. I couldn’t find my 2.4ghz on my wifi list. So I did some research and had to turn off or disable the SON under wifi settings on fios app. Unplug my router and plug it back in after a minute or two then bam! it shows up. So when I got my phone connected to 2.4, I went ahead and start the pairing. This thing didn’t come with instruction so I went back to this page and read the manual. You will need to download the app “smart life” or simply scan the QR barcode in the back of the device. Then you will need to set the device up on pairing mode by press and hold either of the white button and the light blinks and it should be now visible on your phone. Then connect. Now, if you want to connect your phone back to 5Ghz(because I think it’s much faster than 2.4) all you gotta do is connect your device to alexa. Then you caan forget about the smart life app really because you can navigate or control your device thru alexa. As long as your device is connected to the 2.4ghz network your fine and that’s all that matters. I hope this helps! I highly recommend this and I might get one more set. F

> 24 hourFirst, the it could be much better news: The documentation, pictures, manual (if you can call it that), etc, are incomplete, unclear, etc. For example, my specific product isnt list on their site, there isnt a picture of my product, the app tells you to do things that are impossible (press the reset button when there is no such button), etc. Now, the good news: Once you understand how to get it connected (that is, the setup stuff), SO FAR, its really a great product! The apps button turns the light(s) (or whatever) on/off very smoothly and quickly. I had a couple lights that had switches that were hard to reach and/or twist. With this little gadget, I can use Alexa, the app, or the buttons to turn those lights on/off. Beef up the administration/infrastructure and youll see lots of 5-star ratings.
