> 3 dayI use these with Smart Things and IFTTT to create a remote trigger to control room heaters. I think they work perfectly.

03-04-2025Pay attention because it only connects to 2.4 which can be a pain, but it does work as advertised

> 3 dayI like that each plug can be used separately. Easy setup and use with Alexa and Smart Life.

> 3 daySo far I like it. But I cant say too much about the original HBN app, because I deleted it and I am currently using the Smart Life app instead. The instruction leaflet that the socket came with can use a little updating. It was confusing and it took several tries to add the smart socket to the app. The app itself was not too confusing, but it still took several tries to connect the device. Then when I went to link the socket to my Alexa it gave me an error in the Alexa app. It said the app was not current. Well I was not able to update the HBN app, possibly because it is the most recent version. Alexa then also gave me an option to switch to the Smart Life app. At first I thought oh is this the updated version and since I already had the app for my other sockets I use, I just switched over and everything just automatically linked after I connected the app to socket. What a breeze. It turns out the Smart Life app is a totally different app all together and it seems to serve as a catch-all app for many of the different brand devices out there. In fact the other sockets that I was already using the app for were for a totally different brand.

03-04-2025Works well. Two plugs, you can use them individually.

> 3 dayI was able to connect it ok. But when I turn a switch on there is no power to the outlets. Sending back. UPDATE on REPLACEMENT: I got the replacement and its working. As others have said the instructions are problematic. For example they dont explain that only one blue arrow lights up when establishing the network connection for the entire 2-up outlet.

Greater than one weekI love how easy these are to set up. I purchased some from another company and I have to struggle to get the app to find those. I ended up replacing them all with these. I like having two separate plugs. There are some that are set up with one plug on a timer (lamp, wax melter, etc) with the other one always on. When I bought a new router it took me 5 minutes to reset them. Most of that time was getting around furniture to the plug. I havent had any issues if the power goes out. they just automatically reconnect. I havent figured out how to connect to my Alexa, but it works fine with the app on my phone. Plus, this way I can turn the lights on and off no matter where I am so it looks like Im home. Definitely worth the money.

> 3 dayGreat product, very easy to set up and to utilize. I have tried other Wi-Fi plugs before, and this is by far the best. Each socket can work individually, which makes it very convenient. I love it so far.

> 3 daybut once I watched the video on Amazon [with the product], it wasnt bad. The written directions were not thorough enough. Since it wasnt quick and easy, I procrastinated on setting them up. It was super easy after watching the video and only took me a few minutes to get them all online. They are working beautifully with my Alexa, and I will definitely be purchasing more. I love the ability to name each outlet on the plugs. The routines were really easy to set up. Great value for the money!

> 3 dayI got really frustrated trying to set up these plugs. I intended to connect them to my Alexa, but the initial HBN app connection was so confusing that Im worried the Alexa set up will be just as painful. I was stuck on one of the first steps because it told me to turn the outlet on with the power button. Not sure why it says that because there is no power button!!! My husband had to step in and figured it out for me, and thank goodness for him. (Instead of a power button, you just hold down one of the front arrow buttons while its plugged in until it flashes blue. At that point, the app should detect the outlet and the setup is straightforward from there) Despite the headache, so far I really like these plugs. Believe it or not, but the painful setup wont deter me from buying more smart products made by HBN.
