> 3 dayIt took me just a minute to track down the drivers, but it works great. Tests of the module, so far, are fully functional with the Arduino IDE and appropriate board selected. I had a bit of trouble getting the driver to work, at first. I just kept trying drivers until one did. I cannot post a link, though, or the review gets kicked back.

18-04-2025This device works well if it is connected directly to a wireless router. But when connecting to a wireless access point ti had problems getting an IP from the DHCP server on the network. I had to add to the script static IP than it connected to the wireless access point. I am using mine to adjust the RTC in my Arduino Big LED Clock using NTP. The other thing i had an issue is if the access point looses power when the power is restored the device needs to be rebooted to connect. This may be able to be corrected in the script i am using. But i am new at programing and I used examples I found online. to build my clock

> 3 dayInitially I had a problem having the boards show up on the serial port. I contacted the seller and received a reply in less than 1 day. Turned out the issue was on my laptop USB port. I am now able to connect and load arduino code with the IDE. First program I ran was the wifiscan which showed my network names and rx levels in db, cool. Bill

> 3 dayArduino code that works on all my other esp8266 modules continuously reboots after 30 seconds on these. Wasted a bunch of my time figuring out it was these and not code.

> 3 dayThese HiLetgo boards have a distance between pin rows that is 0.2 inches narrower than my LoLin boards. This makes it so much easier to work with on a breadboard providing access for connection to to all pins. Otherwise the two appear to be interchangeable as I have replaced my LoLin boards on two of my projects with no issue. I plan to use the LoLin boards I presently have with their compatible base and 5Volt regulator for quickly trying out new ideas. I will then use the HiLetgo boards for building more complete project breadboards.
