This camera arrived very well packaged, like all other ieGeek cameras that I have, so no shipping damage whatsoever. It was very easy to install using the CloudEdge app (which, by the way, has been recently improved considerably compared to earlier versions). The physical installation had one issue: the ball and socket joint of the solar panel mount could not be tightened, even when I tried to improvise by wrapping the ball with a piece of paper. The panel seems to be identical to panels that came with other ieGeek that I have, and which did not have this problem, so I am assuming that this is just a problem with this particular panel and others will not necessarily encounter it. The image quality was disappointing at first, but then I discovered that to get the QHD resolution I had to press the SD button on the live screen and select QHD from the popup menu, which improved the image quality considerably. The QHD images are quite good for security purposes, though dont expect it to be quite as good as an image that you take with your phone camera, for example. I like it that the user can control whether or not the floodlight is turned on when motion is detected, and also can turn it on whenever is needed for live view. Likewise, the siren can be disabled, enabled for motion detection events, or turned on whenever its needed. Both of these features can be useful under some circumstances. The solar panel works very well - the battery charge level shown full charge at all times, even though my solar panel does not get direct sunlight most of the time. That said, I dont have many motion detection events in a day, so I am not sure if the panel will suffice in a situation where the event frequency is much higher. One shortcoming of this camera is the lack of PTZ functionality, which limits its usefulness to situations where PTZ is not needed.

Im very impressed for what I got. I wanted a floodlight with a camera to monitor my dogs area. I also wanted wireless, solar and battery operated so I dont have to install wiring. It was easy to setup. I love that I can see camera view from my Alexa Echo thats upstairs in my office. Night vision is amazing. Alexa is just indoors but the two way talk plus video from phone app extends Alexa capabilities. Helpful when someone in backyard. I would definitely recommend compared to others Ive seen out there.

I highly recommend, and absolutely love these ieGeek Security Cameras! Super easy installation and operation. Just make sure you have a strong wi-fi signal at the location where you plan on installing your camera. I had to buy a $30 wi-fi extender for one of the cameras I installed on my garage that was just a little out of range. Now I have a whole home security system with no monthly fees. They do offer cloud storage if you prefer to pay a monthly fee, but these cameras take up to 128gb micro SD cards to store the video clips, which is all the storage you need. I have 32gb in mine and I find this to be adequate for my needs. 2K image quality is awesome. Night vision is nice and clear, and the lights are super bright. You can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection, the speaker volume, light brightness, and the length of the video recordings. They all have two-way talk and a siren you can sound at will, or set to go off, or not, when the camera is triggered. Everything is done through their app right in the convenience of the palms of your hands. I truly cant find a bad thing to say about these cameras. When I first had my system up and running, I was having playback issues trying to watch some of my captured videos. Which brings me to my next point, ieGeeks stellar Customer Support! I reached out to them and they were really helpful and genuinely concerned that they help resolve my issues. I ended up fixing it pretty easily myself with the wi-fi extender, but they were with me every step of the way. I really appreciated that! If you are on the fence as I was, let me save you some of the research time that I already put in. Purchase these bad boys! You will not regret it. I dont! I love these things! I bought 2 Floodlight Cams (ZS-GX5s), and 2 of their Smart Video Doorbells. After I found how great they all were, I went back and got a Spotlight Cam (ZS-GX3s) for the corner of my backyard that wasnt covered by the rest of the cameras I already had.

This is a new version of the new generation IeGeek Cameras. First, the packaging is very nice and sturdy, and the delivery was super fast. Refer to the pics. Theres a very bright light in front of camera for better visibility. The video quality has been improved as 2K sampling. The software AI integration seems to help with better human detection and avoid false detections to the best effort. The Camera is a bit heavier than the previous versions, but it is probably due to the new hardware and tech that has been build in. Similar the previous versions, an SD card (up to 128GB) is supported and works just fine. Same app is used to connec to the camera which is nice if you have multiple of these cameras. Overall, I am satisfied and impressed with the design and quality of this camera so far and no issue has been seen. Keep in mind that the customer service is always great for this company. They always answer any questions or assist with any issues to may encounter.

Dont waste your money on other cameras that offer paid cloud services with yearly subscription, especially that SD card prices are dirt cheap nowadays, i owe 4 rings and this is a comparable Camera in terms of quality.

I was looking for a security camera to place in my front driveway to be able to capture any movement and action that occurred there. A while back I had a sales person that came to my door and was hanging around there taking photos of my property but without a high resolution camera I was unable to get a clear view of his face or name tag. This camera is fantastic! I was able to open up the box, put the camera up and added it to my app. This whole process took less than 5 minutes. Once the camera was set up it was great to see that it had the option for QHD and the video and picture comes in super clear! Additionally I can adjust the sensitivity settings and choose the areas that the camera captures activity. This way it wont tell me about every car that passes by but rather anything that comes through my drive way. I also setup the camera to turn on its spotlight any time there is motion in the cameras view - and its super bright and amazing at night. I love that its solar powered as well because I will not need to take it down to charge it any time soon. Fantastic!

Better than the last outdoor motion camera brand I tried. The internet connection is good considering the distance to the router. Motion alarms seem fairly accurate after tuning the setting. Im not crazy about the app. It should have other adjustments and feature that are on some others security camera apps. I will probably get a second camera.

This is the 3rd motion solar powered security camera I have purchased. This one has a motion light that is bright enough to light up my 16x16 deck. The solar panel charged up the camera battery quickly and the night and day camera clarity is quite good. I am happy with this purchase and hope it lasts as long as my others.

Setup for the camera was a breeze since I already own other cameras that use the CloudEdge app. The quality of the 2K QHD is excellent, both during the day and in the dark when the spotlight is triggered by motion. I am slowly replacing my current cameras with cameras that have a light that is triggered with motion. I have yet to find where I can adjust the night mode as the image is not great in the night without the light. Maybe it is intentional as a battery saver until the light is triggered by motion as the light uses up the battery life. A new feature with this model is the spotlight which is bright but the brightness is adjustable. At its brightest, if you have many triggers in the night, you might want to consider lowering the brightness if you are not using the solar panel charging to allow the battery to last longer in between charges if you are not using the solar charger. The unit is smaller than other brands that have a spotlight feature so this a plus for me. You also have the option to add the siren, though the app has it labelled as buzzer. Trust me, it is not a buzzer, it’s a siren but not as loud as some of the sirens on my other cameras. It would be great if there is an option to set a time, when everyone should be asleep, where one can have the siren activated instead of mere activation by motion. The motion sensor is adjustable and I had to adjust the camera angle to pick up motion within the coverage range. It is best to make minor tilt adjustments and have another person trigger the motion to test the coverage range. There is no tilt/pan option with this camera but you can adjust the tilt so the camera will pick up motion in the field that you want, this can be done be loosening the nut and rotating the camera but the nut is in an awkward position because of the size of the camera. With this price point, I think the tilt/pan option should be included. The description has an AI motion option but the quick start guide indicated that that option is not available until a later software release, I sure hope they would release that software upgrade soon as I like to be able to filter by “person” so I am not looking at all motion alerts. For this price point, this option should be available. There is no subscription fee for event storage so if you have micro SD card with plenty of memory, you will be able to view past events going back a few weeks which is a nice feature. There is a cloud option which has an initial free trial period which I did not activate. I removed one star for the lack of the tilt/pan option and the lack of the AI option to filter by “person” though the guide said that feature will be added later in the year. Having said that, I would recommend this camera.
