Door cannot be opened from the outside once locked from the inside so it gets the job done.

The adhesive was not strong enough but a roll of gorilla tape seemed to do the trick! Smart animals can be escape artists.

No matter how I tried to conceal the door handles (aluminum foil, plastic bags, etc) my dog would open the door to prohibited areas. This thing is super easy to affix to the door, and it is really effective. I am happy

First of all, the sticky side doesn’t hold. I had to buy a stronger tape to hold it. I shouldn’t have bothered, though. Because with a little pressure from my toddler, he can force the bottom latch down far enough to open the door. Not kid proof at all,

These work great for our doors handles. They took only minutes to install and they adhere very well. We have been using these for months now and they stay in place. Best thing is that at 4 1/2 years old, my grandson has not figured out how to open the locks of this pretty simple design. We have a slider door to the deck from the primary bedroom and he can open the locked slider so we needed a way to keep him out of the bedroom all together. These locks work!

My German Shepard dog figured out how to open the doors with handles and these work perfect. I tried one out first and then ordered another pack so I could do all of the doors. Side note, this pup is only a year old! Lol. I’m a little worried about her next adventure.

My door knob handle must be closer to the door than other levers because there was no way I could apply this mechanism without turning it at a 45⁰ angle, otherwise the knob could not be pulled down to open the door. I didnt realize that the first time I applied it and had to rip it off the wall which pulled paint off (oops! Shouldve used floss or fishing wire instead to gently scrap the mechanism off). That said, it works! It doesnt look pretty since I have to keep it at an angle, but it does the job well and sticks to the door very well.
