> 3 dayIts good, not amazing. Definitely adds the benefit of being able to see an entire room which is very helpful for the playroom, but it does come with a compromise in quality. Picture isnt very clear (although clear enough), especially when kiddo isnt very close to the lens. Still, a better alternative to the regular lens for our family & Im grateful for the increased perspective.

Greater than one weekPictures: I included two pictures of the wide angle lens with it showing the whole room and the zoom in. And one picture(the clearer one) of the normal lens without the wide angle lens. Since my daughter got a toddler bed I needed to see the whole room. Well, it works perfect during the day and is bright and vibrant, but when I used it at night, it looks very foggy and not so clear. It’s definitely doable though if you absolutely want to see the whole room but I think I might switch back to the normal lens and just pan around the room if I need to find my daughter.

> 3 dayBought a couple of these now that my little one is a toddler which called for an additional camera and wider view of their room and the living room/play area. Honestly, Infant Optics should include the standard lens and this one when you buy the baby monitor set instead the zoom lens. You already have the ability to zoom in on the monitor so a dedicated zoom lens is not needed, the wide angle lens however should be standard fare when you initially purchase the camera, or just bump the price up and include all three.

> 3 daySo far we are extremely happy with the new monitor. We purchased the hand unit and 2 cameras. I like that when toggling between rooms you can hear the sound in the room being shown. Many monitors that toggle do not offer that feature. Only issue we have had is that when you add the separate lens that can be purchased for 11$ the night vision does not work and nothing can be see on hand unit. But other then that its a great purchase and worth the $$!

> 3 dayOur daughter just transitioned into a toddler bed and she likes to get up and explore her room so we had to get the wide angle lens. We have used these cameras with the monitor for 2.5 years and have not had any issues that couldnt be fixed but the picture quality in night vision mode truely is awful. I did read the others reviews and was hoping i wouldnt have the same opinion but unfortunately i do. I need this lense no matter what so now we just have to deal with it. but i wouldnt recommend this to anybody.

> 3 dayWith products like this it makes me wonder what we have been doing this whole time! Missing out, that’s what. Very rarely are we this satisfied with a product. So easy to install. Captures the entire room so we can keep track of our extremely active toddler. Can’t recommend this enough!

> 3 dayWe are using the system to keep tabs on an elderly parent with Alzheimer’s. We have a 2 story home. Parent bedroom is on the 1st floor, our bedroom is on the 2nd floor. The wide angle lens gives a good view of the important areas of her living area. The signal strength on the 2nd floor is good most of the time. There are occasionally periods of interference. The signal strength is good in most of the front, back & side yard and in the garage. The microphone works well & is clear.

> 3 dayThis was such a great purchase. I spent most of my night chasing my 12 month old around the crib using the regular lens. Now I can be a paranoid mother easier by just glancing over and seeing where he is and how he is sleeping!

> 3 dayI wish I would have listened to the reviews! I have no idea how this lens gets 5 stars. We just purchased the Infant Optics - DXR-8 PRO & needed a wide angle lens. Upon receiving the lens, we hooked it up with ease & the clarity was like looking through a Motorola Razr Flip Phone from 2005. It’s beyond me how a company that makes a wonderful baby monitor, with up to date technology, is still stuck in the early 2000’s in picture clarity with a simple wide angle lens. And to top it off, the night vision was horrendous- you could see absolutely nothing but a bright white glare. It was like watching TV static. It’s a good thing this lens is only $11, because it’s completely unimpressive & a major let down. I would be embarrassed if I were Infant Optics, producing & putting my name on such a lackluster lens. We just ended up buying a $16 camera mount with a flexible arm that holds the camera above the crib & it solved all of our “wide angle” needs. Please listen to these 1 star reviews…they’re absolutely true!! This product isn’t worth any time or money spent!!
