This is an awesome drive for its price. I used the Sintech adapter to install this drive into an MBP2015, and it worked like a charm. The speed isnt the best on the market, at around 1400MB/s read and 1100~1200MB/s write and I am aware that they achieve this speed by having a small cache and speeds will take a hit if you start moving around big media files, but it provides most of the merits of an NVME drive for a super reasonable price(as of April 2019, the 2TB version is $199.99... and to think I bought my first 256GB Crucial M4 for around $600 where I live!). The reason I took off a star is because very recently they had a driver update, and when I installed the Intel Rapid Storage software, it kinda crashed my drive. Luckily I keep daily backups so I didnt lose any important data, but you might want to keep that in mind and make a backup with whatever software available if you ever update your driver and firmware.

This item needed to be enabled in my BIOS before it would be recognized and for it to be a boot device I had to shut off FAST BOOT also in BIOS. Once I did that I am very happy with it. It benchmarks almost twice as fast as other SSDs i have in my system. Knocked off one star for lack of documentation that should have come with it regarding BIOS adjustments. Overall I would recommend it and buy it again.

This really increased the speed of my loading times, I am using an older i7 and wanted a slight upgrade for speed and this item was way more speed than expected. It wont make gaming better but as far as load times the difference was phenomenal and very easy to install. I have moderate computer building experience so watch so.e videos to decide if this is something you can handle.

Intel solid state drive comes without OEM box and mounting screw. This is no big deal. Works and performs as advertised.

I bought the 2TB model. The installation was simple; just make sure your board has the right M-Key M2 slot. I just turned off the computer, put this drive in, booted up, and went to the computer management portion in Windows to partition and format it. It was a very easy and fast process. It should be noted this drive uses QLC memory, which is the worst and cheapest. If you are doing a database workload or will utilize heavy writes, like writing 200GB+ files regularly, you wont be happy. If you plan to use this as a drive to store applications such as games, youll be quite happy. This drive has a decently sized SLC cache, so as long as the file writes dont get large and frequent, itll make the drive overall fast enough; by that I mean 2GB/s or very close to it. If the writes are large and frequent, this drive will be slow. If that is your workload...pay for it with an appropriate drive. My use case is a drive to store all of my games. With many being over 50GB now, you need a big drive if you have lots of games like I do. For this purpose, the drive is outstanding in terms of value. It delivers great performance in the use case of reading all those textures and feeding the RAM and CPU. If you want to use this as a boot drive, you can. It will work well in this case, but there are better options if you want outstanding performance. Still, this is a big upgrade if youre using a magnetic disk or old SSD. As to the durability of QLC, if your use case is application storage, this really shouldnt be anything to worry about. Unless youre doing very high write workloads, the SSD will last a long time. I have a 10 year old Intel SSD, and the Intel tool says it is only 10% through its life, and I used that as an OS drive for many many years.

I must say that Im extremely happy with the price the performance and how easy it was to install it ! But either way this update totally makes sense compared to what you would had spend at the time of buying the computer with this configuration at Apple when the computer was available, its totally worth it!. I wanted a cheap SSD to store my games and stuff on, after having far too many hard drives die. I assumed a cheap 2.5 SATA SSD would be the cheapest, but no, this was. The write endurance isnt fantastic, but its far more than most people will need (If I remember correctly its 200 writes, aka 400TB for the 2TB SSD. Which doesnt sound like a lot, but you could write 100GB a day for 11 years with that, and most people dont even write that much.) Its fast and cheap, but it gets HOT. I would highly recommend buying a heatsink, you can find one for like $6 which will prevent it from slowing down through long writes, and probably make it last longer.

The capacity is very good and the speed good too. My only complaint is the mounting it requires a very small special screw. It should be included with the board. I had to order the screw after realizing I did not have the appropriate screw. Now I have 15 of the special screws and will lose them before I find a need for them.

I bought a MacBook Air (early 2015 model) with just 128gb of memory. I finally to a point where that just wasnt enough. I combined this with Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card (the long one, not the short one), and the combination works great. I had a Time Machine backup, and between it and a flashdrive with an iOS installer I was back up again in an hour or two (it only took about ten minutes to swap out the drive; the rest was all reinstalling the iOS and Time Machine backup). So... for less that $100, my MacBook Air has a new lease on life.

Installed easily, you do have to go in and reformat it for your computer to recognize it. It is fast, I bought it primarily to hold only my games, sure, there are faster ones out there but I promise you will not get a faster frame rate with a faster SSD. This one has more then enough speed for gaming and its the best deal right now for a 2TB SSD. I will be purchasing another one or maybe two 2tb on black Friday. If you do decide to get ANY SSD be sure to leave 25% of the drive free, at the least or you will big it down dramatically. So if you have a 2tb drive, only use 1.5tb of space, at the most. Other then that, this is a great drive, I will purchase a couple more in the future as they get cheaper.
