> 24 hourIve used NUCs before and have always liked them except for the fan noise. However, this particular NUC is very quiet and doesnt emit lot of fan noise at all. I installed all of the driver, firmware, and BIOS updates from Intel, installed M.2 drive, sata SSD drive, and RAM that are on Intels compatibility list, and everything on the machine is working great with Windows 10 Pro. No problems at all.

> 24 hourIt took quite a while for me to figure out all the hoops I had to jump through to get a Pop OS live USB stick to boot with the NUC 10. It definitely will not work for Linux live USB sticks out of the box. I guess it is fair enough, since they mainly advertise support for Windows. But due to the poorly designed UI in the BIOS setup, it was a pain the get the settings all just right to allow the Linux Pop OS USB stick to boot. I simply could not get it to boot at all in UEFI mode, even thought the USB stick was set up with a GPT and UEFI boot. I tried Linux Mint as well - no dice. There was nothing wrong with my USB drives - they booted fine in other computers.

> 24 hourIts a small and quiet Windows machine. It has 32gb memory and 1tb ssd and connects to 3 27 monitors. My main computer for development. The one on the right is an Intel NUC 8 running Linux.

> 24 hourWhen installing Linux Mint 19.3 on this I ran into one issue, networking did not work. The kernal included with 19.3 does not support Ethernet, either with a cable or WiFi. It turned out there is a more recent kernal available for download. Amazon will not let me post the links in this review, but the solution is searchable on the Linux Mint forum with instructions on how to easily update the kernal.

> 24 hourThis nuc is awesome. I bought it to replace a functioning macmini that was not performing as fast as I needed. I was tired of apples immoral lock-in practices and decided to go back to building my own system that supports running Linux. The hardware is great. I7 CPU is very fast along with all the other attached module. WIFI bluetooth etc... I am running 3 displays with no problems. I maxed out the nuc to the fullest which is 64GB of ram and I was still under $1k with hard-drive + ram. Very great value for the money. I will be buying nucs as my main computer moving forward. The form factor is perfect for my desk. Small but packs tons of power + speed

> 24 hourThis NUC is an approximately lateral upgrade from an AMD FX-8370-based system in terms of CPU, yet uses only a fraction of the power. Its tremendously quieter than a mid-tower with several fans, and uses (relative to my old case) only1.4% of the volume of the mid-tower case I had. This is small enough to set on my monitors base for easy access to I/O. If I had no needs for that, Id look into using the VESA mount instead.
