So he got this boring grey backpack, as it is suitably mature for a very-grown-up 13YO. Good capacity. Im unsure of whether the Jansport durability is as great as it was 30 years ago when I was in college, but so far its good.

> 24 hourI bought two of these black backpacks for my kids last year. We needed one more this year, so I ordered the exact same one. For some odd reason, this years black backpack has a white lining on the inside. It looks nice since its brand new, but I would prefer a black or grey lining like last years model. I took away one star because of the white lining. Other than that, it seems like a good backpack.

> 24 hourIt’s a good backpack, has lots of place for storage while not looking like a bulky bag. The only thing I wish it had was pockets on both sides like where you can store bottles or put gum or other small items. There is only one pocket on the left side.
