kai Reed Diffuser

I love this product. The smell is soooo nice. The price is high but it’s one of the items I splurge on.

Im sensitive to scents, so I only used a couple of the reeds. It seems okay for me so far. The diffuser is pretty, and it makes the room smell sweet like gardenias. If you like the scent of Kai, you will like this.

I had smelled this in a store once and thought it was wonderful. In my home it was overwhelming. I probably will give it away.

Wow, this is potent. The Kai signature blend smell is of gardenia, which is also the smell of Kai candles. The square bottle is very pretty - it does say Kai on the lower right hand corner, but it is in small white print and doesnt take away from the beauty of the bottle. The bottle could be turned around to hide it more if it bugs you. The bottle is really solid feeling and surprisingly heavy. The cork top is solidly seated. No accidental leaks. The dark reeds look great! They absorb and release the smell very well. The reed diffuser is really beautifully packaged and wrapped in plastic. It would make a lovely gift for a housewarming or for anyone who loves gardenia scents.

Im going to start with the packaging. Its packaged well, and despite the fact that my box had taken a pretty hard hit at some point as evidenced by the big old dent in the box, everything survived and was in immaculate shape. Inside the box, the reeds themselves were sealed in a bag and secured with a tag. The bottle of oil was another matter entirely. It was like trying to solve a puzzle box getting it out. I kept waiting for Pinhead to come out and start sniffing the reeds. The scent itself is heavy on the gardenia, which Im not complaining about. I dont find it particularly strong, but to be fair, I also havent been rotating the reeds the way Im supposed to, so shame on me. I do love air fresheners and fragrances. I think they can just make an environment feel better. That being said, I am a bit leery of diffusers, if only because I have 2 cats and 2 kids. Thata whole lot of tipping over potential. I also do have some serious concerns about the price point of this product. I think its a bit heavy for this product!

Ive used other diffuser products, but this my first time trying Kai. The scent is very strong. The instructions say to start with 8 reeds and to add more as the fragrance weakens and becomes less noticeable, but after just a few days, I needed to remove a few reeds because the scent wasnt just strong, it was overpowering. I also have a very large house and the room its in is very large, so I cant imagine how many youd need in a smaller room, say like a bathroom (where these are commonly used). Considering the cost, it is helpful that fewer reeds are needed. The product should last much longer using fewer reeds. While its a lovely fragrance, it is a bit pricey.

Almost impossible to open stopper without spilling liquid fragrance. Fragrance is wonderful though.

This is a very nice reed diffuser with a great smell. However, it is so challenging to remove this from the packaging. I couldnt even remove all of the plastic seal from around the vial of liquid. I appreciate that this is secure, but its hard to get this off. Still, this would make a nice gift.
