KAI Scissors 7250 10in Shears, Pictured

Yes they cost more but are worth every penny. The Kai 7250 cut through everything nice and smooth. Like a hot knife going through butter. This is my second pair. My wife took my first pair to her art room and didn’t want to give them back. You will not be disappointed in these beautifully made Japanese scissors.

My wife is a seamstress and makes memory bears but never really thinks about the tools she uses. As I watched her struggle with cutting and sore fingers I decided to do some research. Every sewing forum and blog always came back to Kai as the number one pair of shears. The 7250’s arrived before Christmas and I couldn’t wait to give them to her. It’s hard to describe just how amazing these scissors are to use. They literally cut through multiple layers without any effort. For fun we went through 16 layers and it was just as easy as a single layer. The pain she was having in her fingers is gone and she couldn’t be more happy. Nice to see something work better than we could have ever expected. Bravo!

I got them a week ago and constantly use them in the kitchen on poultry, fish, plastic, cardboard ... lots of things. They cut extremely well. Then I put them in the dishwasher. NO RUST. They do not rust! They cut everything well. They feel good in my hand. My old Irish neighbor used to say, A thing of beauty lasts forever. I suppose that will be true of these beautiful scissors, too.

As a professional seamstress I needed a great pair of scissors and these were IT. I loved my ginghers, but they were hell on my hand after a while. My coworker recommended these and they are everything: comfortable to hold, hold their edge (and Im writing this review after months of using these things almost every day), and cut like butter. The only thing (and its so small Im not even going to subtract a star for it) is that I wish it came with some kind of protective cover. The plastic it came in isnt going to do anything and I had to resort to a custom sheath to keep the blades safe. But Im a clutz, so this is probably more of a me thing.

these large scissors are perfect. Don’t have good strength in my hands, but these Kai 10 inch scissors are easy to use. They have some weight to them but because they are balanced and the scissor action so smooth, when I cut they are light as a feather. Finger holes are so comfortable to grasp and the blades cut fabric like a hot knife through butter. Have a variety of high quality scissors but am a Kai convert.

I have used Ginghers for years. Assuming these hold an edge and can be sharpened to the same sharpness they have now, I will never use anything else. Would love to know if anyone has had these for any length of time. Theyre almost too good to be true!

The difference between Kai and any other scissor manufacturer is like night and day! I had my affordable and splurgy preferences before but these scissors are so comfortable in your hand and cut like buttah. They make that very satisfying scissory sound when they cut and you can tell they are good quality even though they are lightweight.

These are awesome! Lightweight and so sharp! I really love the Kai brand. They never disappoint!

I own several pairs in different sizes. These are professional grade scissors that will last a lifetime. They are Japanese Steel that stay very sharp which helps them last a long time since they dont need to be sharpened often.

Extremely sharp. Very durable and reliable scissors. I use for cutting leather, and other heavy duty vinyls. These things are awesome. Sharpen them once or twice every couple months and they’re perfect. Although you can never get them back to their original sharpness. Surely my favorite scissors!
