For those wanting to use a quick tool to see if your receptacles are connected correctly or to verify the correct voltage, this is a very handy tool. Easy to use. Seems to be made of quality material. Its just plug & play...too easy.

It is small and works perfectly. This is the smallest socket tester that has tons of features in it. I definitely need to look at the manual to understand and see what those LED lights mean. Its very compact and fit right in my palm. Its easy to carry around with me. I did couple drop tests and it’s still working fine. Its very stable for a little guy. It has a lot more features than just test to see if socket is live or not. The LCD screen is definitely the biggest winner here. The second best thing is that it can do GFCI test as well. Its simple to use once I get used to it. There are labels on the tester itself so I don’t need to carry the manual with me all the times.

Ive used this tester to check all my outlets at home and so far all of them have been wired correctly. I also tested the GFCI feature and it worked great. I suppose the real test will be when I have to troubleshoot a bad plug. Anyway, I like how easy it is to read the results once you plug the tester in.

I bought this product for 2 main reasons- 1.- It will diagnose any receptacle wiring problem and give you a visual indication of what the problem is. And 2.- It will also test GFCI receptacles to ensure they are working properly. It also gives you an accurate voltage reading at the receptacle. I use this in my motorhome to check the receptacles and for checking the 120 volt service before hooking up to the electrical pedestal at the campsite. A convenient and handy device.

My trusty outlet tester died after two decades of faithful service. I really like this one. The digital readout is a plus and everything is very easy to see. The probe is a bonus. Not only will it check an outlet, you can hold it over a Romex line and get a read. I hope this one lasts a long time.

Im pretty handy, but honestly was a little worried I would mess something up trying to install a bunch of new outlets. This gave me piece of mind and caught one error that I was easily able to fix according to what it told me.

For many years, Ive used a primitive 3-lights socket tester; in majority of cases, I would need to take additional measurements with a multimeter or test wires with fluke. Im glad to have this one combined little tester, which does the job.
