Another useful tool in my toolbox. Solidly built and so easy to use. Im testing outlets for a final walkthrough on a home we are building and need to verify all the outlets are working.

I bought this along with a 30A adapter to check power at RV sites before plugging in. I also used it to check outlets in my house that have been put in after the house was built. To my surprise it found a couple of incorrectly installed outlets and they were immediately remedied. Very happy I bought this and even though there are less expensive options, the digital voltage readout is worth the extra money.

This product is a quick, cheap tool for testing outlets. It does the job it sets up to do. Its not an all-purpose multimeter but for outlets its even better because it doesnt give you confusing, floating read-outs the way digital multimeters do but a hard and fast readable number and the problems with the circuit. The only downside I can say about this product is that it needs perhaps a longer reach for recessed plugs. Other than that, as a testing device it should be in every homeowners tool kit.

Can only be used with 120 volt outlets. Even though it will read 250 volts. Will not work with a 240 volt outlet. The blade direction only goes into a 15/20 amp 120 volt outlet. Easy to use.

The volt meter portion of the device is off by about seven volts for 120 volt power as compared to a calibrated volt meter. It works but accuracy is not good. I have an older unit with less features, but it is very accurate with the voltage reading.

Does what its supposed to do. The design fits most plugs very well... the price was ok but pretty good considering the quality of the item

I bought this product for 2 main reasons- 1.- It will diagnose any receptacle wiring problem and give you a visual indication of what the problem is. And 2.- It will also test GFCI receptacles to ensure they are working properly. It also gives you an accurate voltage reading at the receptacle. I use this in my motorhome to check the receptacles and for checking the 120 volt service before hooking up to the electrical pedestal at the campsite. A convenient and handy device.

Multimeters have their place, but theyre fiddly to use and it takes time to diagnose multiple outlets in a row. This thing? If you just need to quickly find a faulty outlet, or get quick info, its your tool. Plug it in, look at the lights, move on to the next outlet on the circuit. Build quality seems to be as good as one could hope for. No flex in the plastic no matter where you push on the housing, sturdy feeling prongs.

Does the job, works

Great product for the D Y i folks or maintenance people, i like that it has a GFI tester as well. It will take a little tine to get used to the red led lights. The main feature i believe is it shows the volts coming to the outlet. Again great product.
