03-04-2025Feels like buying a disposable electronic device. Its impossible to reset when you move. Instructions say you have to rename the new wifi & password to the same as the old network. Still doesnt work. Otherwise, great device while it lasted. Easy to control through the app, love the sunrise-sunset setting, and no need for an alexa/siri hub.

> 3 dayMy old ones stopped working grabbed a set of these and they are amazing! Easy setup, app super easy to use and only took a few minutes to setup! Best smart plugs I’ve used actually buying another set!

> 3 dayWorks great. Great value for money. Disconnect from the internet sometimes and have to unplug and plug back in but it’s very minor issue

> 3 dayThe lights in my bedroom turn on at a set time a few minutes before my alarm. One voice line turns them off when I go to bed. Getting a drink of water at 2am? One voice line will turn the light on in the hallway. These things are affordable and the set-up takes like five minutes. Everything I asked for with zero problems.

> 3 dayI really like this wifi plug, because it makes any non smart appliance smart, the button on side is really cool because if you lose internet you still have a way to trun on your appliance without having to unplug it, the only Im complaining about is the wifi signal, it is very strong inside the house, but as soon as I go outside, the connection is very very slow bit sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Other than that I recommend this smart plug 98%

> 3 dayThese work great. I used them when we are traveling, so I can turn lights on and off while we are gone. Nice to be able to do that when I am hundreds of miles away!

> 3 dayHeres an unconventional use of this product that can save you a few bucks: my hot water recirculation pumps built-in mechanical timer broke. Maybe it could be repaired, but for a few bucks this smart plug works even better. The pump is turned to always on, and I set a schedule in the Kasa app so it only runs exactly when needed. Also if Im off my usual schedule, I can turn on the pump from the app and set a timer for it to turn off automatically in 10 minutes. If youre buying a hot water recirculation pump, you can buy a model with a timer, or save ~$50 buying a model without a timer and use this smart plug which works better for less.

> 3 dayI have used the (2) smart plugs on a few occasions to turn lights on and off when I was away from home. Last week while I was gone from home there was a local power outage and the plugs did not come back online (while other wifi devices did so). I was unable to connect with the plugs from a distance or when I returned home. When I got home I pulled one of the plugs from the outlet and immediately reinserted it. It then connected to wifi and my iPhone along with the other one which I did not touch upstairs. I contacted the company and spoke to someone in the Philippines who sent me a link by email to use a beta tester app that deals with bugs. I dont want to play around with this, simply want a plug that is dependable. I then contacted chat support and was informed that it is a weakness of the design. None of the Kasa plugs apparently is immune to this. Well, it is unlikely that I will have another power outage soon but in my mind this is a limitation of the plug. Ive used it to turn on/off lights in the house so that it appears that someone is home. I think Ill use a standard timer for another light as a back-up when I am away from home in the future. Otherwise the plug is great, very easy to use and adjust schedules.
