I dont like that tone does not pass if there is continuity on the other end. i use this for toning possibly live jacks (Phone system, low voltage from phone company) and i have to use my southwire toner so i can get a tone, with the klein probe. Other than that the light is very nice and i like how i dont have to press the button while toning, just turn it on and go.

My husband uses these for his electrical jobs and they work very well.

I had to figure out my sprinkler system wiring and this tool made it very simple. Very user friendly and time saver. I absolutely recommend it.

I got a cheap Chinese knock off awhile back which is LOUDER than this one! I got this one thinking it would be better but I was wrong. The features are nice but it’s not loud enough! I had to chop a cable and solder the ends, then used the alligator clips to make it loud. The RJ45 plug is not loud enough or it’s running on a few lines and not all 8.

Remodeling and closed wall tracing is nearly impossible without one of these tools. Other manufacturers have different styles. Klein allows for identification of conductors by plugging them into the unit. Worth the money and will pay dividends in time savings!
